We used this for a winter backpacking trip at the beach in Washington State. That means a lot of rain. We had it up in some major wind and rain storms. It shed water beautifully, especially when the set up was good and it was taut. I'm a little concerned about the corners, where the tabs and grommets are. Sometimes on the cheaper tarps those rip out in a stiff wind, but so far so good.

Love the tarp. Light weight, looks like it will work great EXCEPT it's not 10x10. We ordered the 10x10 for a specific reason but got the 10x12.With a modification of corner tab pockets, those poles (that fit a 10x10 tent) would shed water and prevent pooling. Three stars only because we know we now have to figure out some center pole modification and we'll have to constantly drain puddles during rain storms when using the tarp. We need to use the tarp this weekend or we'd return for a swap.

This tarp was an excellent tarp for my hammock camping. It withstood a overnight thunderstorm like a champ.

Bought this for a bug out bag first one did not get recive it . Amazon fixed it and got it quick excellent product. Good value
