Q: what if the guinea pigs nibble on it / eat some of it?

Hi, Thank you for your question. Our disposable guinea pig liners are 100% non-toxic, however we still suggest implementing strategies to avoid your pigs from ingesting the pads. Suggested Strategies: 1. Our personal choice is to fold the black plastic under the pad. This hides the black plastic layer and makes the pad totally flat. We have found if the pad is totally flat, with no parts sticking up they will not chew it. Please see the attached photos. 2. Add toys or chewing material to give them an alternative to chewing the liners 3. Add a fleece bedding or paper/wood bedding on top of the liner Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions or concerns about our products.

Q: We have 2 piggies, if I use this bedding alone how often do you think I will need to replace the liner?

Hi Diane, Thank you for your question. This really depends on how you will use. If you are just using the liners themselves with no additional bedding or fleece layer on top you will want to change as needed which can be as soon as every 1-3 days (but still depends on the cage condition and accessories used). We hope you can give them a try!
