I wasn’t a fan of how the mount was secured so I used some nuts and bolts to really lock it down in place.

I bought this for my second vehicle. I already own a blend mount but didn't want to pay for another one so I looked for a cheaper solution. This mount I would say is just okay. It does the job as intended and keeps the radar in place, however it's not as sturdy as the blend mount. The radar constantly shakes while driving which is super annoying. It's 100% cheaper than the blend mount & the blend mount is 100% better, but again, does the job.

This does a good job holding the radar detector to the mirror. Haven't had any problems so far with the magnet not being strong enough to keep the detector from falling off, and there are some pretty rough roads out here in the country.The only problem I have is getting the wing nuts tight; it would probably be easier with slimmer fingers. But it's "doable."

Once installed, this thing is great but getting it all in place is a bit of a challenge. First issue was getting the little piece of silicone to stay around the stem of the rear view mirror- might I suggest a mild adhesive because holding a flat piece of “rubber” around a stem while trying to adjust the wing nuts is a pain. I finally used a little spray adhesive to give me an edge.Once in position, I thought I had it licked! Nope-the magnetic part of the mount kept falling out. Very frustrated by them I grabbed the “super glue” and secured the magnet in the mount itself. I’ve had detectors fall in my lap cruising down the road-no way did I want my new $500 detector finding it’s way to my shifter. All in all, a good value if you get past the bugs.

Bolts onto the mirror so their is no danger of the radar detector falling off, It could use some lock washers as it will slide down a bit as the screws become loose but after several adjustments it holds in place just fine.I've found suction cups do not hold well and can contribute to damaging the radar detector when they come loose better safe then sorry.

It doesn't fit very snug onto the detector like the original does if you hit a bump hard enough it will fall off the mirror mount and for a $500 radar detector I don't know if you care about just it's falling off and flying around the car. It also shakes periodically because the amount is not very well connected to the device but overall I guess it gets the job done if any of the things listed above don't bother you
