Update to previous review. The firewalls are a step up from previous versions in terms of speed, however, be prepared if you are doing VPN site links to have the service go offline and reconfigure itself i.e. wipe all the settings on a frequent basis. IT IS NOT STABLE. Netgear support is useless and have been unable since mid-October to resolve the issue. Be aware that if you are running behind an ISP firewall/router you have to downgrade the firmware on the Netgear router and there is no guarantee it will work.Have they released it too early? Short answer - yes. Is it worth paying for the tech support? Not on current evidence. Are they getting returned? YesIs it OK if you don't need the site to site VPN - No. Get a different brand.

This router looks to be a bargain if you don't need WiFi. I got it to replace an ageing Netgear unit that's about 10 years old. However my Virgin media cable modem requires to be connected to a router with the same MAC address as the one that it was originally set up with, which died years ago. So I need the option to clone/spoof that MAC address in order to connect to the Internet. The BR200 does not have this option despite every other Netgear router that I worked with having it. So the router had to go back and I never got a chance to try it at all.
