Gear4 ZAGG Hackney 5G Designed for iPhone 12 Pro Max, Advanced Impact Protection by D3O, with 5G Plus Technology - Black (702006163)

I really love the look and feel of this case. It shows off my phone and the contrast of the black seal around the lenses is a nice touch. I was looking for something easy to grip on the sides, and this is perfect. The front of the screen seems to be adequately protected but it doesn’t have much of an overlap to the frame. So it’s good that it doesn’t interfere with the screen at all, but it’s a bit easy to pull back on the edge. I believe it will protect well in a drop, but if anything I do have to remove the case every month to get small bits of dust that trap between my phone and the clear case which are now visible. Guess that’s one of the drawbacks of carrying in pockets. Overall it’s 4-Stars, would be 5 if I didn’t have the dust with a tighter seal.

I bought this after watching videos and reading reviews of their other cases. The D3O tech sounds like it would help with drop protection but... I put my 12 Pro Max in the case and it is barely secure in the case. The lip on the case is essentially flush with the screen so you can't put it face down and also if you ever dropped it you're screwed if it lands face first.Also because of the fact that the lip is so flush it barely holds the phone in the case. You need little to no effort to take the case off the phone. I wouldn't be surprised if the phone just fell out of the case itself and at that point why even bother having this case anyways.I bought a $9 temp case until this arrived and the phone is a lot more secure in there. For a case that is more than 4x the cost you would think it would have a bit more thought put into it.The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the case itself seems to be good quality and sturdy. Fix the lip so the phone is actually secure in the case and this would be a 5 star review.

Great for showing of the beauty of your phone but it’s a scratch magnet and you can never quite get all the dust out from inside. Add to this the fact of ruins the way MagSafe works and makes your phone hot on a MagSafe charger? I’d say give it a miss. It’s a back up case for when my other case needs a deep clean but I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for it.

Definitely don’t like this case. I have used them before but this one is pretty much flush with the screen. So if it falls face down it won’t be good you’ll be replacing screen protectors every time. If not the whole screen.

Like another reviewer I bought this based on the video and past reviews for other cases.The fit is not as snug as I thought it would be, and although I have rarely dropped a phone I am not sure this will live up to the claims from the maker.The really annoying issue is the amount of pressure you have to put on the side buttons to control volume or screen shut off.Considering the price I am assuming there is similar quality out there for half the price.Dissapointed
