Nice but.
It was fairly accurate.Battery life will get you through a round of golf. Maybe 1.5 rounds but not much more. Battery takes 7 hours to fully charge. It has a dedicated charging cable that is about 12" long. Maybe it's me and there is a learning curve for the device.I found myself several times switching through the different menus. What happened several times, I would would get into one menu and could not get out of it at all. Kept referring back to the manual but was stuck.I would not say the unit was frozen, but I was not able to get back to where I wanted to be.In fairness I am suggesting it is my doing as well as the devices doing.

GPS receiver isn’t very good; buy something else.
This is an easy to use device with a couple of major flaws. The GPS receiver is pretty weak and fails to provide yardage several places on my local golf courses in the DC area. It also can take a while to update yardage. Sometimes the unit will cycle past a hole and doesn’t let me go back. It just skips over the hole when I try to navigate to the one it skipped. I wouldn’t buy one of these. It’s a good price but just isn’t reliable.

2nd Update helps
I had this GPS unit for 8-9 weeks now. I immediately noticed inconsistent yardages on 2 courses I play, so I requested updates. As a side note, you cannot download courses updates unlessthey send you a link. It took 3 emails and over 2 weeks before I could get an updated course database. It updated easily enough, and I thought that took care of the problem. However, this unit continued to give inconsistent results. After asking to exchange the unit for one that worked, they sent me another course update with a different update process (including a step where I deleted everything already on the unit). This update worked and course readings are now consistent.

Compact and perfect
Love ease of use. Compact and perfect to help you guide your ball to the yardage the only thing I don't like is the battery doesn't last very long on charge

A piece of garbage don’t waste your money.
Easy to use, light, fits nicely in the pocket. However that’s the only positive. After using it for two months, it is now giving wrong distances for holes, it’s not advanceing between holes, and is basically useless. the battery life stinks. It barely makes it through 18 holes, as in four hours. Takes about eight hours to charge up each time before I use it.I previously owned a Bushnell Neo which would go 2 rounds at least and then took only an hour or so to charge up. Worth the extra money. Would not recommend or buy this product again.A piece of garbage don’t waste your money.

Terrible product
This product does not live up to its claims. Yardage readings are not accurate and many times do not register or change as well. Automatic hole changes are not consistent and many times do not change at all. In total I do not believe this unit is worth the price paid.

Buyer Beware
I bought this handheld GPS for 3 basic functions: Accurate yardage reads, easy to read and club distance. Because of these minimal requirements, I also opted for the low cost provider.I have to admit I was really excited to try the GPS based models (I have a laser range finder). Upon arriving to the course, I booted the unit up and its GPS located the course within minutes. So far so goodHere's the fatal flaw: The unit just shuffled through the 18 holes and would not automatically stop on the hole I was playing nor would it allow me to manually pick the hole. I turned the unit off and on several times during the course of the day with the same results. Can you imagine how incredibly frustrating this was?I contacted Amazon the next day and they tried to work through a remedy with me over the phone. Overall I spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with them and was told that I would need to email Canmore directly. Canmore sent me a "bin file" link to update the firmware in the unit. The instructions for the update were complicated (for me anyway) and I even sought out additional visual help from youtube. I replied back to Canmore that the update did not happen and then they sent me an even more complicated detail of how to update the firmware. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to get this updated and decided enough is enough. Is it too much to ask a company nowadays that when we purchase your product like this, we expect it to work out of the box? As I mentioned to Canmore, if you know your product could require a complicated firmware update, you have an obligation to let your potential buyers know. Both customer service teams at Amazon and Canmore were pleasant and helpful. As far as the Canmore handheld GPS functionality, that deserves 0 stars as it never worked for me.

Works great
I bought this strictly for yardage. The magnet attaches strongly to the cart so it will not fall off. If walking clips to push cart or on bag. I got the orange one so I will not forget to take it off the cart. I can play 3 rounds. Maybe more without charging. Worth the money.

Can’t find gps
This product is not good . Every time I switch it on it takes five minutes to try and find the course then says gps is weak try again . You try again 4 or 5 times and it eventually works . But it’s 20 minutes before it starts to work and causes suck frustration before a round . I’ll be putting it in the bin and buying another one shortly before the club championships .

Short charging cable
The GPS is very good on the golf course. Good graphics, accurate distances compared to playing partner devices.VERY SHORT CHARGING LEAD.APPROX 300 mm long.Very difficult to charge as a result.I note that it is €25 euro for a replacement one. The replacement one is 1000mm long, so why the difference?
