Not for home sewing machine
I didn't realize that this was for industrial or specialty machines since the description didn't say that (and even says "sewing machine"). I have a Brother machine which says they don't recommend a needle bigger than 16 and this thread takes a 20 needle. So the thread is too think to use in a regular home sewing machine. Also learned that you have to buy an adapter if you get thread on a cone like this. Amazon sells one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018N3Z6E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so look for a thinner thread. This one is 138 and it looks like 90 is the thickest recommended for my machine.

Works with my Chinese hand cranked leather patcher
I purchased this for use in one of those Chinese hand cranked leather patching sewing machines. Although the machine requires a lot of “tweaking” before it’s ready for use that shouldn’t be blamed on this thread. It’s durable and accurately described. It is a heavy thread though so don’t expect too many applications for it.

Not heavy duty
I have other 138 bonded nylon thread that is way better than this stuff this stuff is very flexible and feels like it will wear out quickly. The other stuff I have is hard and stiff and feels much stronger.

Use with a sewing machine?
Though the product description stated that the thread is compatible for machine sewing, mine was not having any part of it! I used a leather needle, (got it to thread by hand), but the machine would not sew with it. Its good, tough, thread, but using with big eye needle, by hand, is best.
