Quality and value for money
More expensive here but good quality and I enjoy using it but why are we paying so much more for it than other countries

Unpleasant and ineffective paper
This paper is very sturdy, but has a harsh texture that is unpleasant to work with. It is rough and hard, such that soft (chalk) pastels and pastel pencils do not adhere (most of the pastel marking falls away as dust), it is very poor for layering/blending, and colored pencil only adheres with great effort. It does not compare to PastelMat or other good quality pastel paper. I would not recommend it.

Average quality but does not match pastelmat.

Not much different from ordinary pastel paper
Not what I was expecting, not good enough as sandpaper.

Pastel just sits on the surface
I had high hopes for this to use for studies before committing to pastelmat, but I can’t get on with it. It’s nice heavy weight paper, but pastel just sits on the surface and it creates a LOT of dust, wearing down the (expensive) Unisons rather quickly. It worked a little better with SAA pastels, which are a little harder, but overall quite disappointing.

Very nice paper for initial sketches and studies
For "just" paper, the texture is quite pronounced and has much more "drag" than similar papers. It can't measure up to true sanded papers for use with soft pastels, the tooth fills up much faster, but at this price, it's a steal! It's perfect for charcoal, or for sketches and studies for soft pastel (or for fun paintings, like 100 strokes challenge).Definitely recommended, works very well, and you don't have to waste uart or similar to do your tonal studies - this paper will not disappoint.

Good for beginners
Perfect paper to start to learn soft pastel. Grippy, able to hold a decent amount of layers and relatively cheap.

Love the paper and how fast delivery was
Paper made me think of pastelmat. I love using my polychromo's on it. Added bonus paper handles solvent without pilling or bleeding. Mine did bc I wanted to see if it could handle a dripping wet brush; yes it does; ofcourse that is not recommended how to blend. Just know it can handle that. When using any solvent I would recommend you to put a cardstock sheet under it;just to prevent contamination on next page if you want to keep it in the block. Paper works great with Jaxons oil pastel. I use a rubber blending tool for it. Derwent drawing works like a dream on it; I still have me a bit of a learning curve with lightfast pencils but will test those separatly. Compliments to Canson for this paper. I recommend it for beginners and not selling artist for practise and study. When selling just use archival paper for your own peace of mind; Im not at that point yet, so Im happy with this. #Netherlands
