Does the job, but has a surprising number of errors
The book did a good job preparing me for my CNL exam (which I passed). I liked how the sections were broken up and how they listed which review questions pertained to which subjects so I could see which areas I needed to review more. Overall I think it did a great job explaining the role of the CNL and incorporating relevant information to give the context of how and why the role was created. My only complaint is the astounding number of errors in this book- there’s countless grammar and formatting errors that are super noticeable. For example, at one point the word “affect” is used instead of “effect” (I know “affect” can also be a noun, but in the context of the sentence it was clear they meant “effect”). There’s also one review question about the epidemiological triad where the answer is just downright incorrect and contradicts what it said in the earlier chapter about it. I don’t see how an editor could’ve read the book and not noticed these errors? It just seems kind of unprofessional to be honest.

Errors and not current
As mentioned by others, there are errors (e.g., incorrect answers to practice test questions) and annoying grammatical errors, which does not instill much confidence. Additionally, the 2023 CNL exam has NEW content that was not covered in this review book. Overall, did not find this book helpful.

Decent book but with errors
One of the few resources to help study for the certification, but multiple errors found in the book. Consider rechecking with outside sources if something seems wrong or incorrect.

Helpful
This book was really helpful and literally every topic it entail was tested. The questions in the back of the book were even more helpful. I passed with minimal studying and answering questions.
