The CORNET ED-88T is a cutting-edge RF LF ELF Meter made in the USA, designed for comprehensive Electrosmog exposure evaluation. With a broad frequency range of 100MHz to 8GHz and a super wide dynamic range of 60dB, this device offers tri-mode functionality to measure RF, LF Gauss, and LF Electric fields. It supports both analog and digital RF signal detection, making it an essential tool for anyone concerned about electromagnetic exposure.

This been a very helpful tool in my recovery
Three years ago, in addition to a heart rhythm problem I'd had for years which kept me from being able to fall asleep and woke me early every morning, I began to have chest pain, burning and tingling sensations on my skin, tinnitus, headaches, difficulty breathing, and other unexplained symptoms. My doctor ordered an EKG which came back as abnormal (left anterior fascicular block, low voltage, ateroseptal infarct, old) but an ultrasound found no evidence of heart damage. Episodes of chest pain, very slow and fast heart rate, PVCs, palpitations, low blood pressure, and all the other strange symptoms kept me awake every night and made it harder and harder to function normally during the day. Last November I visited my daughter in another town and slept through the night for the first time in about three years. When I returned to my home and work environments, my symptoms returned. That was when I realized my current symptoms coincided with getting a new WiFi router three years ago that couldn't be turned off at night. I also noticed that I always felt great and all my symptoms went away when I was out hiking in the woods, but when I sat at my desk next to the WiFi router, spoke on the phone, or lay down in bed at home, my symptoms increased.I started to do some research and bought the Cornet ED-88T tri-mode meter which helped me reduce my exposure to the suprisingly high magnetic and electric fields from the 100 year-old ungrounded wiring in my home and from certain appliances, such as the refrigerator, blender, dishwasher, hairdryer, and microwave (even when just plugged in). It also motivated me to turn off the WiFi routers at home and work when not in use and move them away from my work areas and to turn off the fluorescent lights overhead. I found that I had to completely avoid the old (leaky) microwave oven at work which induced PVCs, and I had to sleep in another area of the house at night. By doing all these things, my symptoms were reduced significantly. This meter has everything in one place and the display is easy to read with sound and light options which can be turned on and off. It is lightweight and portable and has endured being dropped a number of times. So far, this meter has done everything I've needed it to except pick up 'dirty electricity' which can be heard as static with a basic AM radio. I want to say that avoidance and reduction is not the only option if you think you might be affected by electromagnetic fields (EMFs), although it may be necessary for a period of time and is especially important at night; I have found that calming my mind and nervous system to reduce the stress response, more time in parks and away from the city, increasing antioxidants, and decreasing inflammation have all helped to reduce my sensitivity/sensibility to EMFs so that I can live a mostly 'normal', though not yet comfortable, life. I have found Martin L. Pall's research on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the NO/ONOO-cycle very helpful in my continuing recovery.

Very cool
I bought this along with an acousticom2 pocketmeter (this one measures 3 fields pretty well, that one measures RF to a much lower scale). I highly recommend buying both if you can, but if you can only buy one this will do the trick. I was pleasantly surprised despite living and working in an urban area (Boston) that I'm not quite living in the disaster zone I assumed I was. But the biggest discovery I made was that my bedroom, literally the spot right where my head is at night is by far the worst spot for radiation according to both meters in both my living and work space. I've turned off Wifi and done all the simple tricks to fix it but it's still really bad (maybe the upstairs wifi router location), but I've decided to switch bedrooms now that I have the info.A warning on this note: Once you have the data, if you're like me, you'll feel the need to probably try to do something about it, which can take you down a fun rabbit hole quickly.....

You Owe It To Yourself To Know the Level of Radiation in Your Home
Every time I sat down at the laptop my ears would start ringing. I bought this meter and learned that there are very high (red zone) levels of radiation being emitted. One incandescent lamp was problematic and of course the TV and the cell phone. I used the meter to determine a safer distance and made a shield for the front of the laptop out of aluminum foil. That was the location of the most emissions. I bought from "Less EMF" a netting to put over a hat. Now, no more ringing of my ears at the computer. Everyone should give themselves the benefit of measuring EMF in their environment and then reducing it as much as possible, especially if there are children in the home. I didn't give the meter 5 stars because the instructions weren't very good. They seem to have been written for people who already know how to use it.

Wildly inaccurate
Doesn't detect as much as I'd like in the RF spectrums. It seems to give wildly inaccurate readings, and also seems to indicate unrealistically high RF power readings, "confirming" what they suspected, which I'd imagine plays into people's paranoia, and causes them to think they're getting their money's worth and thus leave good reviews (among other things). The device did have some pros in it's design but overall I wouldn't trust it to give an accurate assessment. Unfortunately, you may have to spend thousands to get an accurate idea of the actual EM smog situation in your home or area.

Easy to use meter
Purchased mainly because of smart meter installed on your house next to sons bedroom. All I read about trying to shield RF said you need a meter to try what works. This meter is easy to use. Measuring what works takes time. There are lots of sources of RF. Found out I should be more concern with my home wifi and printer that the our smart meter. Simple aluminum screen on top side of meter was all I needed but would not have guessed that. Alum screen on inside wall attracted more RF than it blocked.I have not tried EF or MF much yet.

Good idea but the screen needs enlarging
Good idea, but the screen is exceptionally small and makes everything difficult to read. This is a big shortcoming and we can't determine if the readings are accurate, especially when used at night. There's no ability to adjust the brightness either. Picture this: a person with a flashlight on his head and a magnifying glass in his mouth. This is something we read about from others, but thought we could deal with it. We were mistaken. The item needs resigning and isn't worth its high price. Buyer beware.

Buyer beware!
This model depends on a battery, without the battery it's worthless. So after 20 hours be very very careful changing the battery (which is in too small a space-jammed in) because if you break the wiring connection (which is very fragile) and fits very tightly you are out $169. Spend the extra $20 and get the plus model which can be powered by USB. PS this model has been discontinued! And I tried to run an overnight test on the Smart reader at the the battery didn't last 8 hours!
