New and improved packaging!
I've been using this product for years, so the packaging kind of threw me. In the past it's looked exactly like the seller's photo. But now it comes with far more pieces, almost like a fun little puzzle.Chip Quik is probably better known for the low-temperature chip removal solder they make, not the flux that comes with it. But their flux is very highly regarded for its quality, and works great with lead or lead-free alloys. It is a no-clean type, so you can leave it on or wash it off.Previously, it was packaged with a rubber plunger, which over time will dissolve and contaminate the flux in the syringe, so if you don't use it up rapidly, you'll end up throwing some of the flux away. The product I received has been improved; the flux is contained in the syringe by a plastic plunger, and the syringe is ready to mount to pneumatic applicators. For hand-dispensing, the plunger and rubber cap are included separately, with assembly instructions. Even with hand-dispensing, the rubber never touches the flux, so I'm sure that the shelf life of the product is improved. In addition, you get a plastic nozzle and a metal one, which seems like a nice add-on, but I can't think of a reason why. It may help you to avoid scratching the PC board while working with the dispenser; but if you don't have a plastic soldering iron as well you're still going to have to be careful not to scratch things anyway. The syringe itself is physically smaller than the one I'm used to seeing, but contains the same quantity of flux.

Works well for replacing surface mount electrolytic capacitors
I frequently replace surface mount electrolytic capacitors and this paste has made the job easier and quicker by reducing the prep I have to do. Now after removing the original dead cap, I just clean the pad with a bit of chipquik flux (best flux ever!) and some wick, then apply a small amount of this solder paste. Now I can use lower temps to flow the paste which helps avoid overheating the pad or even heating through the board and effecting components on the other side of the board (which has happened to me as well). This has cut my time in half, before I would reflow solder to the pad and then apply flux to the terminals of the capacitors. I store it in the refridgerator as recommended and it has lasted well.

It really works as it shows in the videos
Nothing short of amazing. It works quite well. It would be nice if it were a little less expensive, but it is still worth the money.

Good stuff
Works great. Stays where I put it and cleans up nicely with some isopropyl alcohol. Cost a little more than what I was using before, but I like the syringe and plunger better. Will buy again.

Great product for either SMD or through hole soldering
Just got to try this and I like it for several reasons. 1) it’s a really good flux. 2) It is easy to apply the right amount. 3) The cannula needle ensures exact placement where you desire to solder.

Excellent product. Great for rework.
Used this to fix the HDMI port on my PS4. Using my rework station this flux made the job and easy.

works as expected
works great, and 5 ml lasts a lot longer than you'd expect. for personal/amateur use like myself, just replacing components on a few laptops, removing bios chip to reflash, and other casual work a few times per month, this will last years

Buena pasta.
