Not at all a cheap item. Was bought for Christmas laughs, but it's well made, easy to slip on and off, and warm. I bought my usual size and it fits well over a tee shirt or without any other top. You'd probably need a size up from your usual if you wanted to wear it on top of a thick shirt or sweater, but you'd be too hot!
