Heirloom Knives
Purchased a set of Laguiole steak knives. These knives are absolutely beautiful. Heavy, full tang and very sharp. Should last a lifetime.

Nice knives, cheap box, probably not worth the money.
The knives seem nice and quality, they seem somewhat sharp. Most likely adequately sharp for most. I will likely be sharpening them before giving them as a christmas gift, which was the purpose of purchasing these knives. As such, I will not be testing them personally for some time. That being said, I'm sure the will be well received.Now let's talk about the box and knife holder. Cheap, very cheap. The box is crap, it looks okay from a distance but it will not hold up and handling it you can tell how cheap it is. In fact this is the 2nd time I purchased these knives, I returned a previous because the box was tattered upon delivery. The knife holding insert is cheap as well, they knives don't quite fit right and the material shaves off and sticks to the blades. It will likely serve its purpose stuffed away in a drawer but is not a display piece by any means.Overall is it worth the $300 price tag? Probably not. The knives look nice and seem well made but not $50 a knife nice. If the box was nicer and better quality then maybe. All in all, these are intended as a gift and for that purpose I'll happily give them. I will not be picking up a set for myself though.

Extremely poor finishing
Finishing quality is extremely poor. Handle surface is rough as I can feel the knife pin, metal burr along the handle. My wife and I were shocked and disappointed with the quality, especially for a USD300 knife set. Feels like this knife set has been rushed out from fab shop without proper QC.Looks like I need to do further sanding and polishing myself.
