I have used this perfume before. I like it

This perfume smells like a freshly watered garden in the dead heat of a long, hot summer. I catch scents of sharp green like broken stems, sweet wilting blossoms, dry earth, and more. All of it comes together to emulate that serene stillness particular to siesta time in late July.A little goes a long way. A single spritz covers me all day. It's noticeable, but not overpowering and lays reasonably close to the skin. Nothing about it smells artificial or unnatural. I am actually very sensitive to a lot of contemporary scents, but this - like all of Annick Goutal's line - doesn't bother me whatsoever.I think it's most suited for Summer and Fall, but can honestly be worn any time. It's especially nice in midwinter when you want to pretend it's a hot day.Overall, this is an exceptionally beautiful perfume and I can't recommend it enough.

Annick Goutal's perfumes are exquisite, absolutely exquisite. Bought one, Eau d'Hadrien, in Paris at Le Bon Marché. The clerk put a bunch of samples in my bag. When the Un Matin D'orage sample ran out, I had to have more. This package arrived very quickly; the perfume was well protected. The cost was about the same as what I paid in Paris--perhaps even a bit less. I am happy to have found my Annick Goutal supplier in the U.S. Annick lives on in her perfumes. I get asked what I am wearing more when I have on either perfume than any perfume that I have ever worn before.

This is not the same scent. I bought a bottle of Un Matin d’Orage in Paris from the Annick Goutal boutique and I love it. It’s not easy to find in the US so I bought this as backup for when the small bottle from Paris would eventually run out.I opened the amazon bottle this week and I’m so disappointed. It’s not the same scent at all. In fact I would describe it as an unpleasant scent. What a waste.
