Great
This game was great. I enjoyed the personalization variety for my character and how they followed the princesses storylines. I wish the chapters for the princess worlds were longer or there were more of them. I didn't like how they had instructions for every scene and constantly reminded you which keys did what because it takes a lot of time and you are just sitting there listening to instructions, but I cant complain too much since it is a children's game. This game was fun but Tiana's world was way too short, just two little games and her world was over. Overall it was fun, it has been the best Disney Princess game I've purchased so far and I do suggest buying this game for your little girl.

I was expecting more
So basically I bought this game thinking that it would be as good or better then Disney Princess' Enchanted Journey... I was disappointed with the lack of plot and creativity in the game. As an older player I found the game play easy to the point it was boring.... I did enjoy getting to go into the many worlds and the artwork was stunning, but really I was expecting more. Was it fun? Yes. Was the hub more enjoyable? Yes. Did I think it was as good as Enchanted Journey? No. If you're looking for easy game play and a shallow plot then this game is okay, but if you're looking for something more detailed it's not here.

Action Game For Girls!
No shooting or blood and guts that boys seem to like. Rather it is like Harry Potter game. It has the various Princess lands that can be explored to accomplish certain tasks to win points...that can be used to unlock certain dresses, jewelry, etc to outfit the ladies. It requires some problem solving skills to navigate the lands and has the magic twirls, jumps, etc. Requres longer train of thought to solve a situation, than say Angry Birds or Disney Splash apps.My soon to be 6 yr old granddaughter loves this game. She loves all things to do with the Princesses anyway. I think the game is aimed more at 7-8 yr olds if played alone. Requires some reading and the navigation of the game mechanics generally aren't intuitive. But my granddaughter does well if I get her into the game and am available to answer some questions every once in awhile...for example how to get out of one Princess land to go to another (not obvious).I didn't rate it as 5 stars because things are not as intuitive as they should be. For example how to get to the various Portals (Princess lands). Help on screen is useless. You touch the big question mark and it says to go though the Portal. But does not tell you how to do that and if you press again it does not give more detailed help but just says the same thing. The use of the keys, arrows, spacebar, and mouse are not consistent through the various lands.Game Hints: A couple things that I have learned through experimenting 1) to get to the portals go to the main room and go up to the Princess Pictures and hit the SPACEBAR to select 2) when in the princess land to go to another one or to get to quit menu press ESC key. 3) when starting the game for the second time, you need to select which saved area ie 4th area...(things are not saved my child's name but by disk area...dumb!). Overall, glad to see some real thought in producing more challenging action games for girls.Update: Nov 23, 2012Granddaughter has finished the complete game and loved it. There are a number of levels (chapters) in each princess land. When you complete all of these one has to get the Giant Imp. This is a source of frustration...5 yr olds can't accomplish this task. I thought game had a glich. But as it turns out this scene is a TIMED one (about 30 secs). It took me 20+ tries to get through all the hurdles. So the idea is good but should be at least 1 minute or more for little kids.Thought there was a lot of reading but it turned out that the words are spoken so that makes game available to non-readers. So now I think game is for 5 -6 yr olds. My 5++ yr old granddaughter loves this game and is now playing it all over again. I have to help her get into the game and out when she wants to stop otherwise she is good to go.

I beat it in 5 hours alone but she has a lot to complete and doesn’t feel it’s too easy or for too little of kids
One of the only newer Mac games for kids. We are having a hard time finding affordable Mac computer games that are not apps or don’t require a subscription or online account. 10 year old enjoys this a lot. We play it together. It can be a bit repetitive. I beat it in 5 hours alone but she has a lot to complete and doesn’t feel it’s too easy or for too little of kids. We love Disney so we are pleased with the purchase.
