a sweet book ! my granddaughters enjoy it very much. opened up the conversation about praying !!! ;)

I bought 4 of these books for grandkids. The book is very small and thin and not really for kids under 5. The book is worth about $5.00. I paid almost $15.00 each with tax. There are so many other Christmas books with a simpler, clearer message of the real meaning of Christmas.

This is a wonderful book to teach faith to anyone of any age. Simple. Not pushy not in your face. Sweet well written. Has just enough miraculous to peak a child’s heart. I plan to buy several for friends for Christmas! Illustrated beautifully. Pictures are very well done.

This book is absolutely awful. The rhyming meter is all off, so it doesn't flow as you read it. The storyline (and I use the term loosely) makes no sense. It simply starts off with two unnamed children walking through the woods alone - no explanation of who they are or why they're there. The illustrations are hokey, and every Biblical scene is full of white-skinned people - Jesus, disciples, etc. Even the page that includes the line "All races and nations were gladly helping out" consists of almost exclusively white people in the illustration (2 out of the 20 or so people are non-white; see pic). This book is awful. The story is flimsy at best. Definitely sending mine back. There are WAY better Christian Christmas stories out there.

Storyline was strange

I was very disappointed when this book finally arrived. It was bent in two with a crease down the middle. It could have been packaged better so nobody can bend it. It was very small and flimsy for the price of this paperback. It was a Christmas gift but cant even read it now. Im out my money.

This book, tho put together nice, wasn't quite what I was looking for. I returned it and never did get a refund. Thus, the single star. Be sure it's what you want. Too bad you cannot see a few pages inside before ordering.

Not well written at all. Story is very weird. It’s about two little kids who get lost in the forest in the snow and stumble on a church where they cannot get in but the paintings they see through the windows come to life. As I was reading it to my three year old I had anxiety that the kids were going to die. Reminded me of the Little Matchgirl but without the charm. Hard to focus on the Bible stories while you’re worried about the two kids alone in the cold. But their parents find them in the end and tell them not to run away. So many other choices could have been made in the writing. Very poor. Very choppy. Not worth the price either.
