Planters Pop & Pour Dry Roasted Almonds, 6.5 oz Jar (Pack of 12)I am the only one of the family that loves all kinds of nuts. My kids will eat most of them, but my husband generally prefer peanuts. I saw these, and I had to have them to snack on…it’s better than chips, right?!? I waited patiently for them, and I popped one open when they came. I expected that this brand would have a good flavor. They were probably better than I expected. They were crisp and had just enough of a salty flavor. I love the top as it’s easy to get them out, and the top keeps them sealed. I just wish nuts weren’t quite so expensive, but these really aren’t too bad. Recommend.

I am pretty busy at work, so when I can sit down and eat part of my lunch, I need it to be fast. I also appreciate when packing my lunch the night before is fast. These almonds are perfect! They are so easy to throw in my lunchbox and take wherever. They even fit well in a cup holder in my car or a bottle pocket on a backpack. The design is awesome!The top is easy to pop open, and the peanuts are easy to dispense. Just the right amount comes out with each shake, which is super convenient! The almonds have a nice lightly salted flavor to them, and they taste very fresh - which is a must for me! Planters is a brand I have trusted and loved for years, and this product is the perfect addition to their line. I highly recommend giving these a try! It's so much better to carry around a little container than to put nuts in bags and hope they stay fresh.

As roasted almonds go, these are some of the best I've had short of artisan varieties. They are roasted enough to develop the flavors and add a toasted dimension, but not too much as to be dried out, hard, or brittle. The "bite" on these is pretty much perfect. The almonds themselves are fairly average in quality, but they are all perfectly shaped and fairly large. The salt seems to be baked into them since there is no loose salt in the container. I'm guessing a brine of some sort may have been used to soak them in before roasting. I liked this point a lot since salting nuts after roasting generally leads to all of the salt pooling in the bottom of the container.The container is, as is designed, convenient for carrying in the water bottle part of a back-pack or putting in a cup holder. From my perspective, I like the size because, once the seal is broken, the nuts can slowly go stale and the size is such that they can be steadily eaten in small portions before going stale while not being so small as to be wasteful.

Not sure if we got a bad batch -- but the first canister we've opened has not been great -- not the good solid snap you should get from dried almonds. Still taste good just a bit...damp.

- ‘Pop & Pour’ container is about the same size as a 12oz can of soda and will fit in a car cup holder.- Lid can be opened with one hand. If you're not looking at the container (like when driving), it can be a challenge to quickly find the flap opening. I had to rotate the canister around until my thumb felt the lip. Once found, it flips open and closed easily. I hope future designs have a texture around the opening to make it easier to find without looking.- Lid opening is large enough for several almonds to fall outward. About 1/3 of the lid is covered preventing an almond landslide.- These dry roasted almonds are of course amazingly delicious.- Each container has 7 servings of almonds and each serving is 160 calories.- Plastic jar is recyclable, however the lid is not.I like the new packaging. It’s easier to use while on the go and is more convenient for storage.

Planters Pop & Pour Dry Roasted Almonds are a must have staple in my pantry. Always very fresh with just the right amount of salt. Great as a snack to provide protein and good fats. I also crush these nuts for a topping to frosted cakes, brownies and cupcakes, and ice cream sundaes. The almonds are shelled and some have no skin. They are great in cereal, oatmeal, ice cream and just a hand full when you need a little snack. Great tasting almonds!

Both my hubby and I are so tickled with this 12 pack of Planters almonds. The containers are cute and so handy to tote in your backpack, golf bag (hubby has already taken them with him and declared it a great, convenient way to tote a snack) or car. Great for kids and adults alike, it's so easy to pop one open and grab some on the run then put them away and have them stay fresh until needed again. The flavor is great, love that they are roasted, they have a nice crunch and no oily feeling. I do think they are a bit pricy but I would definitely purchase these again.

Photo with soda can for scale.These are great for on the go. Enough servings to be useful, but not so many that you are carrying around a huge container. I like to leave them in the car, it has stopped me from going through the drive through because I am just a little hungry.Taste great.The plastic containers are also great for storage after you have finished the nuts.
