This is the first time I buy colored file folders. I am usually very cheap (since I am a teacher) and purchase the manila ones from school. I am glad I purchased these colored folders because I was able to distinguish my information packets from the rest of the teachers. Let me explain what I mean, I use these folders to distribute the forms parents need to fill out at the beginning of the school year (i.e. personal information sheets, permission forms, etc.). All of the teachers in my grade level distribute a packet during Parent Open House or as we call it "Meet the Teacher Day." Since we do this all together in the cafeteria, packets/folders were being misplaced (i.e. all packets were in regular manila folders) so by using these colored folders I was able to distinguish which parents had my packets. I laminated these folders as well so I will reuse them next year.
