Exploration in Rhythm Vol. 1: Rhythmic Phrasing in Improvisation (Advance Music)

This is an excellent book for budding jazz musicians. There are many exercises in 3, 4, and 5 time using various groupings of quavers, triplets and semiquavers. Also some exercises exploring 4 over 3 possibilities.I have many books on this topic, but this is one of three that I'd recommend. The other two are Francesco Villa 'Playing Rhythm' and Todd Isler 'You can ta ka di mi this'. Although I also use some Gary Chaffee drumming books as any drumming practice will develop rhythmic fluency.Well done Ed, this is a great book that fills a gap in jazz study literature.
