When I first set up my system, I was short a few banana plugs and ran into town and all I could find were some cheap ones. They were OK. I am moving a few things around and when I went to unplug them they did not pull out very easily and I could feel that the wire was loose! Time to replace those!!Tried these ROCKRIX and am so pleased! They use what I consider the "standard" way to connect the wire - all of major brands use that - see pictures in the Amazon listing for detail. They are very easy to install on the wire. Strip 9/16" off the wire - that's the sweet spot. 1/2" works as well, but 5/8" is too long and you won't be able to assemble them.They have a solid tip, which is important when you go to plug them in to your speaker and receiver and they have 9 petals. Cheaper ones have fewer petals and they don't go in and out as easily and they don't have as much contact surface. This is a quality plug!The base is very easy to hold when putting them in or pulling them out. They are 24k gold plated, so they won't corrode and interfere with the signal to your speakers. They compare very well with a much more expensive brand which I won't name here. That top brand goes for about $30 for 4. That is enough to do just one speaker cable. These are below $15 and you get 12 which is enough to do three speaker cables. So they are about 1/6 of the price/cable.Lastly, I used my multimeter to test the cables I built with these and I can only test to +/- 0.5 ohms with my meter, but I measured 0 ohms of resistance for the finished cables. This is an easy 5 star review for me. And would I buy them again? I just did, I needed another set of 12 to finish my project!
