Wicca Herbal Magic: A Beginner’s Guide to Practicing Wiccan Herbal Magic, with Simple Herb Spells (Wicca for Beginners Series)

A Handbook for the Green Witch and people starting out with Herbs.
I was surprised to see how small this book really is but, it is chalk full of good information. It is only 117 pages if you don't count the reference Tables. I read it the day it arrived and I will keep it close because of the very useful information it provides. If you are interested in starting an herb collection, this is the first book that you should buy. This book starts by explaining the Ancient Art of Herbalism and the many meanings of 'Herb'. It walks you through Thirteen Magical Herbs that every self respecting Green Witch should have. It tells you how to buy, creating your own garden and gathering in the wild. It also covers drying and storing herbs and charging them for magical use. It has an entire section called An Herbal Grimoire full of spells! At the very end are charts for Herbs, Essential Oils and Incense. My favorite was a section on smudging rituals; clearing unwanted energy, preparing for magical work, a Blessing for magical gardens and enhancing communications with plant spirits.

VERY basic. For people with zero prior knowledge
I was disappointed by how basic this book was. I am a beginner and found the information in this book to be pretty generic. It’s the same if not less information that is on Pinterest. I was hoping for some lesser known herbs but it was pretty much everything that you’d expect. The book is very short with only 2-3 spells per section. With only about 15 in total. It’s not A terrible book if you want something that is totally basic with the minimum amount of information needed to get started but if you’re hoping for a book that will serve as a reference as you learn more about using herbs I would say this is not the book for you.

This book was actually amazing. I was a little hesitant at first because in the modern day it's difficult to find a book about magick that's genuine and not fictional in most of my experience. This book was a great read and was very informative, I read it all in one sitting. I absolutely recommend this book if you are into herbalism.

What is the moat important thing to know? Probably how vital this book has become in my library.
I am in love with this book. I've just begun my journey into wicca, however I've always been in the kitchen working with several kinds of herbs. Living in the woods has only deepened my curiosity of plants and herbs. This book is perfect. I received it this morning at 11. Its now 2:30 pm and I have completely read the book from front to back. I quite literally could not stop. Wonderful. My only wish is that it contained pictures of the 13 herbs listed so that while foraging one could easily recognise the plants in nature.

It smelled nice. I know that's weird to say
The book came quickly. It smelled nice. I know that's weird to say, but nonetheless it smelled of a hint of an Italian spice. I thought that was cool.

Very Generic Read
If youre just looking for a very brief description on herbal magic, this is for you. As I was just getting back into my craft ,I grabbed this book. A very easy read, does not go into great deal on Herbal Magic, just sort of touches on the idea, and gives you brief information on a few popular herbs. Not for someone looking for a big in depth read on herbs, but good for someone who just wants a super basic knowledge.

A bit disappointed.
The book has a lot of good information for beginners which is nice, but it only includes 12 different herbs; which I thought was so disappointing. I was looking forward to a kind of encyclopedia on herbs. I guess there could be a book out there like that but I haven't found it yet.Is it worth the money? Maybe not. Not sure I would buy it if I'd known there was information on 12 different herbs..

Highly Recommend
It has all kinds of good information. From everyday herb use, to bath herbs as well as candle spells and more. Highly recommend for those who are new to the craft!

A good practical introduction to Wiccan philosophy.
Haven't read it yet (it's for Xmas, as controversial as that sounds), but I love Lisa's books. They're practical, down to earth, & explain things very well for a learner of the 'Craft'. Having bought & read Lisa's 'Wicca For Beginners', I found her style easy to read, informative, & with a common-sense appeal. This is one of seven of her books I have bought for the holidays (& for my wife to wrap up for a Xmas present, I like presents I've chosen for myself) & I'm sure that eventually I'll end up with a full set of all her books.

Interesting and pleasant read with lots of information
I have been flicking through this book and I love it! I bought a few at a time and this one is my favourite. There is lots of useful information in it, and the writing style is so easy to follow and pleasant to read. I will be buying more from this author. Although there are not a lot of pages. What there is a great read.

Great for beginning your Wiccan/Witchcraft journey
Great series of books by a good author. She writes in plain English and it’s easy to gain foundation knowledge to put into practice straight away.

Very basic thin overview. Not what I hoped it would be but great for out and out beginners.

I really appreciate the details in this book. I was looking for a book like this but with more herbs. This book contains a lot of magic specific information for thirteen herbs.
