Got these to decorate my wrought iron and stone fence for my spooky Halloween cemetery. I'm adding them to the wrought iron sections along with a whole lot of faux ivy strands to create an overgrown neglected look. I found 1 of light functions randomly fades in and out which should give the illusion of fire flies. These are listed as indoor/outdoor but transformer needs to be kept dry. What I usually do in these situations is place the transformer/plugs in a zip lock bag close it as much as possible then seal opening with some kind of wide tape like painters tape or duck tape. Another option I've used is to completely wrap the transformer/plug with plastic (any plastic will do, used grocery bags, plastic wrap, a piece of a plastic tarp), just make sure everything is covered then completely cover everything plus an inch or two of the cord with heavy duty tape like duck tape, painter's tape, electrical tape, something that won't come off if it gets wet. This should keep the transformer/plug from getting wet. Of course, DO NOT SUBMERGE TRANSFORMER IN WATER OR LET SIT IN STANDING WATER. I have found this method works to keep transformers and plugs from getting wet from dew, rain and sprinklers. Also, this is not a permanent or long-term solution, I only use this for holiday decorating where it's only used for about 30 days. I would recheck the weatherproofing after any storm just to make sure everything is still wrapped up tightly. So, I am very happy with my purchase.

These little lights are great. We strung them around a bush in our front yard. They looked great. Gettingore for next year.

These are very bright lights with several different settings - great for outdoor display. But be warned that the "white" ones are very much blue, especially if you plan to put them inside. They're LED so they are not a soft white light, but rather shine very brightly with a blue tinge and it's (in my opinion) not great for a soft, indoor comfy vibe. However, we decided to keep them and hang them outside for Christmas. They'll be perfect for that. So, if you plan to use these inside and you get the white ones, just be aware that they are not cozy or even white. They're very bright and very blue. Nevertheless, they look like they're well made and I'd recommend them for outdoor use. I did see a few reviewers say they're not good for outdoors (not weatherproof enough maybe?), but hopefully that won't be the case in SoCal where we don't get much rain or bad weather these days.

I love them so much, I decided to keep them up, the color green is beautiful, they look amazing, I have them on all day and night, the blink, you can change the setting, they have been up for 2 months and been throw snow and rain and still work great

One light was out, other than that it's not that bright but for the price...

I bought 3 strings and am able to connect them together for outdoor use. The plug is on the deck outside but rain cannot touch it. There is no remote control in any light box and there is no listing of remote control either so it’s just my assumption that it would have some sort of timer as some other brand I bought for Halloween lights. Luckily I can replace the transformer with another brand’s transformer with timer and now I have it automatically on / off (6 hrs on / 18 hrs off). I should notice this brand doesn’t have a timer function but the price is cheaper that’s why. Since I can apply my own timer, and the colors are so pretty, with the length and the price, I still give it 5 stars. However, if the timer or remote control is important to you, I would look at other brand listing timer / remote control to buy.

Why can’t the program you pick stay in the memory? Every night I look at the lights go through all the sequences. It is so disappointing because some of the patterns are annoying.
