The instructions states that the battery must be fully charged and then discharged before part use is recommended. Straight from the box, after 24hrs of charging, the battery showed 7% charged, but even then would not allow the laptop to be used. Returning the battery for a refund.

Description says it is compatible with dell Vostro 3460. The battery was on charging for 3-4 days and it still shows 0%.

It works well!
Having bought some 'bad' replacement batteries in the past for other laptops, I was very pleased with this one. Charge capacity is good and seems to be the same as the original. Have been using for several months and it holds its charge between charges when not in use, so can't fault it.When supplied it had near zero charge which surprised me, but seems a 50% charge is now the legal maximum to be shipped, however it would have been nice to have had at least 10% for confidence!Once charged by concerns were gone and highly recommend the product.
