I was forced to purchase this after 1 of the 6 other people in my home (5 kids) continued to turn heat up to 72 in the winter and turn a/c to 68 in the summer. I know, doesn’t make sense to me either. After ample warnings and ‘I didn’t do it’ I purchased this.It was super easy to install. I didn’t have to even remove the thermostat from the wall. Ample screws and anchors included.It secures with a lock. Super easy to smash or even pick the lock, but nobody in my house has tried it. It works very well.

I do all or most of my home improvements and this was a breeze to install. Definitely happy with the purchase since I have roommates and can control the thermostat while away

This cover is very sturdy. It was easy to install. It is exactly what I wanted.

Not for use with l.e.d. screen thermostat. We have a Trane xl824 thermostat and I installed this guard over it. 2 hours later our house temperature was 9 degrees lower than the setting on the thermostat. The xl824 generates a small amount of heat and apparently needs obstruction free ventilation. I removed the guard and temperature stabilized. I guess it's going in the yard sale next spring.
