Automatic Plant Waterer Terracotta Self Watering Spikes Drippers Irrigation System for Vacation or Holiday (8Pack)

I saw these online and thought it might be a good idea for my 4 week-long travel trip. I was on the fence if these would work. I am happy to report they did an excellent job keeping my plants alive while I was gone. I even took one to my office since I am not working from there much over the summer. One thing that was difficult is the stake is long. Some of my smaller plant pots did not hold the stake very well and the top of it was sticking out. I would recommend if you are repotting a plant to place the stake in the plant before filling it with dirt. That way the stake is where you want it.

Less watering.

I thought this was a good timesaving idea. Not so. It took a while to find bottles that would fit - then the terracotta, just shattered. Useless..

Gives me a bit of time back so I don’t have to worry about watering my plants as often! It’s my second order of them. One note of caution.. make sure you insert the garden nanny into the soil and then gently put the wine bottle in!

I have other terracotta plant water devices that I purchased from a local nursery and these are much bigger and sturdier.They are great for my outdoor planters.

This product has supplement my watering in the extreme heat.

While I like the idea of this product, sadly, it doesn’t work for me. The soil is still very dry around this stake.

I love this product, I've bought it twice to cover all the pots in my yard. It's thicker terra cotta, so although still delicate, is a higher quality product. It's also hexagonal in shape so it's easier to "screw" into the soil rather than just push. It came with a card to say my purchase supported a small business, too :)

On time, perfectly wrapped and in A1 condition! Will put them to the test!

Die Tonkegel machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck, kamen gut verpackt und heil an, ließen sich leicht installieren und funktionieren einwandfrei. Ich nutze derzeit 0.75l Hugo- oder Wein-Flaschen und bin sehr zufrieden. Je nach Pflanze und Wetterlage reicht diese Flaschengröße bei mir für ca. 3-5 Tage. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und überlege, mir noch weitere zu kaufen.

I bought these as as an experiment because I was constantly watering my planters in my courtyard during the hottest June ever. I needed a far better system as I was using far too much water. After researching Olla’s it seemed a great option.Robust packaging so all the spikes were in tact. I did soak the spikes first, they did soak up a lot of water. I tried different bottles, as photos show, the plastic bottles just collapsed under the weight, Prosseco bottles were good, but long neck wine bottles fit better as they seal the water in better and doesn’t allow any evaporation. Buried each spike with just the neck at the soil surface.After a week away I was a little worried I come back to dead plants. Shouldn’t have worried at all, everything is alive. Prosseco bottles were empty but plants were all alive, the wine bottles still had water in them. Perfect solution to a warmer climate and using less water. Only downside, I wish I’d bought more. Have encouraged friends to consider Olla’s as a watering alternative.
