INSTALLATION TIP: DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE AND HOT GLUE ARE YOUR FRIENDS TO MAKE THIS A SMOOTH INSTALL.Get yourself a roll of double-sided tape and some hot glue to do this installation. The two components (the larger stopper on the wall side, and the smaller catch on the door side) have mounting plates which mount completely flush to the wall and are contained within the body of the units they are holding. The stopper has a mounting plate and a completely threaded headless screw. You would mount the plate to the wall, screw the headless screw into the mounting plate, and then screw the stopper on to the headless screw. The trick, of course, is figuring out where to mount the plate. So here's what I did. It's probably needlessly complex, but it worked really well for me:1. Start by removing the mounting plate and the headless screw.2. Screw the headless screw into the mounting plate. Make sure it does not extend past the bottom of the mounting plate.3. Using some hot glue, glue the screw to the plate on the underside. There is a small divot where glue can sit.4. Once the glue cools, screw the assembly into the stopper, leaving it just barely above flush with the bottom of the stopper.5. Stick a strip of double-sided tape on the bottom of the mounting plate.6. Position the stopper where it will be mounted, and press the mounting plate into the wall.7. Carefully unscrew the stopper from the mounting plate assembly. The assembly should remain stuck to the wall with the double-sided tape.8. Secure the mounting plate to the wall with its included screws/anchors as needed.9. Reattach the stopper to the (now fixed) mounting plate. Now, for the door catch. The mounting plate for the door catch is threaded, so it doesn't require a separate headless screw. The mounting plate screws directly on to the catch. For this part, follow the instructions in the box to weaken the magnet by using the included rubber glove fingertips.1. After weakening the magnet, screw the mounting plate into the catch until it is just barely protruding from the bottom of the catch.2. Stick a piece of double-sided tape on the mounting plate.3. Attach the catch assembly to the stopper allowing the magnet to hold it in place.4. Open the door into the stopper/catch assembly. The double-sided tape will engage on the door.5. While holding on to the catch, separate the stopper from the catch. The weaker magnet aids you here so that you don't pull the catch mounting plate off of the door.6. Press the catch into place on the door firmly.7. Carefully unscrew the catch assembly from the mounting plate. The mounting plate will remain stuck on the door with the double-sided tape.8. Secure the mounting plate to the door with the included screws.9. Reassemble the catch; adjust the strength of the magnet to your liking.Maybe I made it too complicated, but this method worked well for me, and I was able to position the catch and the stopper exactly where they needed to be.Hopefully this helps you to have a more pain-free installation.(EDIT) This stopper/door catch is ROCK SOLID. It works amazingly well Ideally, you never want to have to think about it unless it becomes necessary, which happens in one of two ways:1. someone opens the door too forcefully2. you need to hold the door openAnd this door stopper is just genius. The piston mechanism in the stopper slows the door down just enough that even if it is opened forcefully, the stopper slows it down before it bottoms out. And the magnet is strong enough to hold the door securely open (even solid core garage doors) until you are ready to close it.If I could give it six stars, I would.

Easy to Install and Work Perfectly
I use 2 of these for my doors leading to the garage which have auto close hinges. They are perfect for when we are bringing in groceries or taking things outside. Have been using them for over 1.5 years now and so happy that we got them. For one of them, the magnet was a little stronger so we put a single layer of masking tape on the concave piece and that did the trick. Now both of them hold the doors perfectly and at the same time we don't have to struggle to pull the door off the magnet. No complaints at all.

Super Quiet Door Stopper that is gentle on the door and doesn't wake my wife with a loud CLANG!
The media could not be loaded. I replaced my old bathroom door stopper (you know the one; rigid metal stopper that blasts a loud thunk when the magnets come together) with one of these hydraulic shock absorbant Neoera Magnetic door stoppers. The instal was super easy and took about 5 minutes. What you're left with is a much more elegant and updated stopper that is functionally smoother and gentler on the door and it's hardware. I'm convinced that the repetitive clunking of the door against the old, unforgiving stopper is the reason that I would have to tighten up or replace the hinge hardware and screws every few years. The shock of hitting that stopper would make the door shudder every time it was used, literally working the door off the hinges over time. This hydraulic stopper is incredibly more gentle by comparison. The stopper gives as the door comes in contact with the stop. No more rattling upon contact and... no more waking my wife up in the middle of the night with a loud CLANG from the old stopper! This is a great product!

Really well designed
I just installed this door stop onto my front door. The wall was stucco over concrete and the door was a thin metal clad over wood core. I used the included masonry anchor which measure 0.3" in diameter. I used a 5/16" drill into the stucco/concrete. That worked very well. I then lined up mount of puck on door by attaching a strip of double sided tape to back of puck. After disconnecting door stop from puck, I unscrewed puck from its mounting plate. This gave us an accurate alignment of holes for drilling of pilot holes. Unfortunately one of the two holes missed the core and was held only by metal clad. In hindsight I should have drilled a series of very small holes into door before starting to locate the core. Once finished we learned that the magnetic strength is very strong. Two thin rubber covers are included which can be applied singly or double. Even one cover substantially decreases magnetic strength. We will test with one cover to see if wind ever causes magnet to disconnect. In summary we are very happy with this product. Two highlights which distinguish this product from others are: 1. Three surface options included to attach door stop: sheetrock, wood, and masonry 2. Two cover options to decrease magnetic strength if required

Graceful - Five Star Quality and Four Star Included Instructions
These are very high quality and function as intended. I'd say they're even graceful in action. They look contemporary and are generally easy to install. My single frustration was the instructions included are so small you can't see what's occurring and there are no written instructions to accompany the tiny photos, so you need to go to the computer to look at the exploded views. For instance, note on Step 3 Action 1. What's displayed is a pair of needle nose plyers turning the screw plate away from the casing. Easy to see on the computer, on the written instructions, you can't see the turning indicator and it looks like white and black alien fingers going into the holes to do something. I had no extra aliens in the toolbox, so went online and viola, easy. Read the instructions online and you'll be fine, the microscopic instructions included are not for even 20/20 human eyesight.

Works great!
This magnetic door stop works great! Super easy to instal and does exactly what it's intended to - keeps the door open. The magnet is good and strong - but not so strong that you feel you need to rip the door off of it! I certainly recommend it!

EXPENSIVE - very!!!
Bought two of these to hold conservatory door open. They are certainly very well made - but so they should be at the price. They are more than double the price of others. But, we live right next to the sea and am hoping that they stand up to the weather and saltwater.Tried others and they were a lot cheaper - they were no match for these. They look and feel far better quality.Only time will tell if I have been screwed.

Quality Product!!!
I am limited to a wheelchair. My front door has a closer on it, causing a race each time I go through the doorway. I needed to be able to hold the door open while I go through the doorwar and eliminate my "race" to get through the doorway before the door comes back and smacks me or I smash my wheelchair into the door.I installed the doorstopper, it was quite simple, attaching the main part to the trim and the piece to "catch" the ball on the door itself. It has worked extremely well, no need to adjust or reduce the holding power. Thanks for a product that actually does what it says, as described, and has reduced some of the tension and frustration in my life.

Does exactly what it says it will
I purchased this magnetic door stop for an outside door that was awkward to access for a more normal ’hook and eye’ type catch.I can confirm that it really works, holding the door open on all but the very windiest of days (I live on the coast and it gets very windy here!)I suggest that you fit the ‘ball’ to your wall first. Then a dab of nail varnish or paint on the ball will easily mark the location on the door for the ‘cup’. Screw the cup to the door and enjoy. The door stop is very good quality, it has now been exposed to salt laden wind for about nine months and it’s still bright and clean.Additional information. After owning this for a year I can now add that the “ball” part is actually chrome and has rusted. The rest of the unit is still good. The corrosion doesn’t stop it working so I won’t change my star rating.

Works perfectly
Don't know why I waited so long. Works perfectly, just the right amount of "hold" and the shock absorber feature is great. Had something similar in another house but without the shock absorber and it clunked if you opened the door a little too hard. This one is silent.
