The fine tip points are scratchy. It damages the paper you use. I couldn't get a decent coverage by using the fine tip. The brush tip is good but will splay with use. You end up having to be very careful if using them for colouring. You can get a sharp edge if you are careful but do not use two colours after each other, as they will bleed. The brush tip will soak your paper so put card between pages of a colouring book. If your colouring book has pictures on both sides it will leak through and render one page useless. As the brush is so wet, it's and idea to clean the tip on tissue between use, as it will collect small fibres of paper. Ideal for quick colouring.

These brush pens have a good range of colours and are easy to control on various brush widths. They are possibly more watery than the Castle Arts range but dry fairly evenly. I haven’t tried mixing/blending them as yet but have found a couple of units which are very dry. The housing trays could do with being more rigid as they tend to bend and twist as you are using them. Overall I prefer the Castle Arts brush pens but they only offer 24 colours, if they added to their range I would opt for them.

I bought 3 of these packs,one for myself, two as presents. I tried them myself and liked them a lot. They do paint as a watercolour, they are vibrant colours and can be water blended. I found them to work well on watercolour paper, but they are wonderful to use on painting styles that use outlines. I am sure the recipients of my gifts will be delighted.
