Jacquard SolarFast Wash - Removes Undeveloped Dye from Prints and Reduces The Risk of Backstaining During Washing.

By the time I used this product, it was too late to return it, unfortunately.I have used the dark blue before, several times, and it worked beautifully.This one, however, could not be shaken into submission.Although I exposed for 20 minutes, the resulting print was really undistinguishable.I don’t know if the sepia is prone to that or if the product was just too old…

I was using solarfast in black without this wash and at first it seemed okay to not use it but then as I wore my prints were exposed to any direct sunlight they would go from black to blue tone and loose much of the detail of the print within minutes. So I bought the solarwash to make sure I was washing out all the chemicals so that it stopped being exposed after wash and it seems to have helped a lot. Its no longer turning my prints blue as long as I give the prints a good wash with hot water and the solarwash solution. Its smells very strongly like detergent and I highly recommend it if you don't want to risk messing up your prints. Regular washing soap won't work to rinse out all the chemicals in my experience

Given that I live in the UK and accidentally ordered from USA, the product arrived exactly when it was scheduled.I’m writing to show my appreciation of the size appropriate box and the brown paper.Due to the UK weather, I am unsure when I will use it, but felt strongly enough to comment on the good service and the packaging.
