I ordered one of these based off other reviews, however after installation about a week passed and water begun to drip from the underneath of where the tap was screwed in, I therefore wasn't sure if it just needed to be tightened slightly. When I tried to tighten the tap it moved easily, minimum force was required however the thread then snapped off of the tap. I've just had to replace the whole section of piping going to the exterior of the house now. A tap should not break like that, not if its made of the right material.The tap I bought from Wickes to replace this is far better quality.Furthermore when I request a refund/return from the seller I get no response after 4 days...

These is a very good quality fitting. Difficult to install using only the pre tape supplied as the back plate and tap were out of alignment by 45 degrees when tightened. The solution was to add an O ring and fibre washer to get the seal and alignment perfect. These seals ought to be supplied with the fitting but cheap enough from a local plumbers merchant. Nonetheless, a good tap fitting at a good price.

Picture is a tap with a non return valve. Actual one sent doesn't have one. Important as you don't want water from the garden entering your drinking water. This is only explained in the question and answer section.

Ok so my tap arrived and was duly fitted however on tightening the tap the main body of the tap sheared clean off of the thread. I contacted the seller was asked to send pictures and following day a replacement tap was received. Item works a treat and does what it says on the tin. Can’t fault their customer service

Tap looked good, nice weight and seemed solid enough. After fitting, it was too easy to loosen by hand so I used a spanner to tighten it up a little, the tap barely moved when I heard a noise and it came off in my hand. The threaded piece inside the housing had snapped off.Some extra scratches on the threaded piece in the pics as I had to remove it with a pair of pliers.
