Molly Hatchet

Molly Hatchet has been around for many years. This review is for the most recent Remaster from the Rock Candy Label. I have had this 78 Debut release on previous remasters and they sounded pretty good. This latest Remaster is the Best I have heard it yet. For many fans the 2008 probably sounds just fine. But if you want the Best sounding version like I do this is the one to have. I Love great Sound and try to find the best versions of releases whenever possible. I hope Rock Candy decides to do more Remasters of Molly Hatchets Catalog.

"Heeeeeeell yeah!" Debut album from Southern rockers Molly Hatchet. Only purchase this if you want some booty-kicking, foot-stompin', testostone-laced Southern-fried rock and roll. If a biker gang of Hell's Angels picked up instruments and started playing rock music, they would sound like Molly Hatchet. Actually, they would pretty much be Molly Hatchet - that's more or less what they were. If you didn't grow up in or live through the late 1970s or 1980s, first off, I'm sorry for you, but secondly, don't despair. Put this album on and experience just a little of what life was like when real men made music in between getting in bar fights, before big hair or AutoTune were even invented. For greatest effect, find yourself some unbroken highway with a high speed limit, crank the volume up, push "play", and get ready to put the pedal down. But don't get carried away, or you may find yourself driving off to "Gator Country" and you'll never get back....

Finally! A remastered version of Molly Hatchet's debut album. And it's on Rock Candy Records who always do a smash up job on their remasters. You also get 5 live tracks as bonus tracks. You can't go wrong with this version. ✌

This remaster does sound a little better than the old original CD release but not a drastic improvement. Nicer detail and a little louder.

Finally, Molly Hatchet debut album never sounded better. Live bonus tracks, is a nice addition for this Cd.

Ich warte schon lange auf ein vernünftiges Remaster des Erstlingswerkes der Südstaatencombo Molly Hatchet. Ich habe die seinerzeitige CD-Erstausgabe des Albums, sowie die Erstremasterte Ausgabe seinerzeit. Das Album wurde in 24 Bit komplett Neu remastered. Und es hat sich mehr als gelohnt. Ebenfalls wurden Teile des Albums als Live-Konzertversionen dazu gefügt. Und diese Aufnahmen sind auch wirklich überragend.Fazit: Ich habe viele Remastered Neuaflagen von anderen Bands / Interpreten / Interpretinnen. Bei dem hier handelt es sich von der Klangqualität um eine der in jeden Fall besseren. "Dreams I`ll Never See" habe ich noch nie in so einer Klangqualität gehört. Da macht der Song nochmal mehr Freude. Klare Kaufempfehlung für diese Ausgabe.Abgehört mit Luxman L530, Kenwood DP 7010, Quadral Montan.

La mejor edicion existente de este cd hasta el momento, una soberbia remasterizacion y merecida del primer y para mi mejor cd de esta banda. Como bonus completa esta edicion cinco temas en directo.
