All-time Greatest Swing Era Songs

Any fan of music from this era: this is a must have! Two+ hours of musical bliss!!

Too bad there's not a way to rate with negative stars. That's what I would give this CD.Amazon's packaging was fine, but the CD case was poorly made. More than half of the plastic prongs that hold cds in place were broken upon arrival. When I put the cd into the player, I was excited about hearing Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong. Instead, there was a poetry recital by some woman with a heavy southern accent, followed by some country and western song. The other cds were also mislabeled. One was a Gospel cd, and the other was some sort of chanting. Based on packaging and quality, my rating is actually negative one star.

All Time Greatest Swing is a set of CDs that takes me back to my childhood.All the greats in one collection.Who can resist Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw or Benny Goodman at their best? Then there vocalists like Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday showing how a song should be sung. This set contains the epitome of musical talent, and that includes song writing, with songs like "Sumertime", "Stardust", "Perfidia" and "One for My Baby and One More for the Raod."This CD set is a vacation from the trauma and histrionics of today's overstimulated world.

Great compilation of songs. Wonderful historical review of swing era music.

If you love swing music, as I do, you'll appreciate this 3CD collection of Swing. All songs are by the original artists. I sent the first order back as the cd's had the wrong music on them. It was religious, chanting and etc. Amazon sent a 2nd CD and it was the same and this one was in a broken case, it fell apart in my hands as I was trying to open it. These should be taken off and not keep being sold. Yes Amazon will refund the money and send another, but then when the new one is the same you have to go jump through all the hoops to return that one too.

Received All Time Greatest Swing Songs this week (week of 19/7/13). Updating my first review in June when I received gospel music. Hey folks Amazon has the swing songs discs in the cases. Manufacturers have got things correct now. Swing not gospel music. I have played all three discs, great music thank you Amazon.

This was a Christmas gift to my sister. The radio station she listened to changed their line up so I bought this and the Big Band one. She loves it so much she takes it to work with her. If you like big bands and swing music you'll love these.
