"Unpluged: A industrial accident"
Sigh... I don't know where to begin, First and foremost this is just my opinions based on my experience with this product.Secondly, if you buy/bought this product that's your decision. When I bought this product two weeks ago to use for my ambient styled industrial techno music I was overjoyed and excited because I thought i could plug my guitar into my Mac (OS X 10.4.11) and use with logic and garage band. The first problem I ran into is that I JUST GOT IT TODAY. how is that possible? according to them and i quote "I found the package the other day. It turns out the postal carriersomehow missed it."I guess its the lack of communication between The UPS and The company that sold me this Indescribably odd thing that only works with my electric acoustic violin with electric switch on the side, and my "old school" electric piano. Okay fine. It didn't work with my guitar and when i looked at the box it showed a guitar being plugged-in to a computer( that pisses me off;) After an hour or two trying to figure out how to set up the THING(mine you, i am currently a psychology major; I also have some knowledge of audio engineering), it works well. well in the sense that you can record real instruments, and they sound like they were recorded in a recording studio. the downfall is that the headphones get tangled up easily with the small interface thing. and there is some feedback. I just got frustrated and gave up. The only good thing that comes to mind is that i wish that they come make a multi-color flashing interface USB end so i could buy 50 from (insert your local music store that is going to send your package on time) and wear them around my body when i perform live.

Antiquated tech that does the job (with some effort)
Wow. Technology really moves in a decades time. When I purchased this in 2009 it seemed like a great way to record via USB hook-up to my p.c. It turned out to be a bit convoluted and cumbersome. In 2020 I'll just use my phone and honestly get better recordings. Thats not really a review of this products functions as it is a critique of recording methods. Honestly if you really try to use this thing you will be able to record to p.c., but it's a lot of effort at this point.

Interferes with other programs
I have not fully explored what is possible with this item, and I admit that. However, once I had installed the drivers, they interfered with my recording with the Audacity program I usually use. The sound was very thin and every syllable was truncated. When I uninstalled the drivers, my Audacity operation was restored to its ability to accurately record sounds.

good product
new guitar player here. this has allowed me to connect to any pc or laptop instead of having to drag around my amp. works well once you get it to connect. I am an IT guy by trade and getting the driver to connect was a bit tricky.

did not work with guitar, only headphones worked
I bought this item new from another site. The only nice thing is that it comes with two chords you can use to change from mic or guitar to the size your computer would take. And some free cheap headphones.Unfortunately, I've only gotten the thing to produce sound via the headphones. I HAVEN'T GOTTEN IT TO WORK BY PLUGGING IN MY GUITAR - my computer registers the microphone, but shows that NO sound is coming in. At first I thought it was picking up sound, but turns out it was just the laptop's built in microphone. So I disabled that one, and nada. So, then I took the plug and just plugged it into my computer (mind you - no amp) and it picks up sounds from the guitar, albeit just a little. That narrows it down to the actual LighSnake green device being the problem.Unfortunately I can're return mine because the original package was thrown away. The packaging, buy the way, is the kind you absolutely have to destroy in order to get it open!Don't buy this! I suggest going to a store and trying something out or making sure you save all your packaging in case you have to return this item or others.
