Generic Bluecell 39 Assorted Color 200 Yards Per Unit Polyester Sewing Thread Spool Set + Bluecell LCD Cleaner Stylus

What's good about it: lots of spools in lots of colors, for little cost, and compact storage. Pretty much as pictured.Not so good:1. If you look at the picture you may see there is no true blue, no scarlet, no true green - the reds and pinks are all orangish shades, the blues are shades of aqua to teal, the greens are yellowish, etc. But the black, white, and chocolate brown are true, and it includes silver and gold metallic threads.2. Some reviewers have complained that it's impossible to find the end of the thread. Not so - at worst, all you need is bright lighting, superb eyesight, a pair of pointed tweezers, a sturdy pointed object like a hat pin, perfect hand-eye coordination with no tremors, and lots of patience.That's all! But the thread is cheap enough that you can slip a seam ripper under and cut it anywhere, unroll one end, and if it turns out too short, toss it and start with the other end of the cut.3. The thread is soft and fuzzy. It knots pretty readily in use. If you don't cut it too long, and use it very carefully, it will do for hand stitching like hemming or restitching a seam that has come out.4. The "tray" serves only as a separator. It's much too flimsy to pick up with one hand. When I eagerly pulled it out of the cardboard sleeve, a third of the spools ended up on the table or rolling across the floor before I could drop the sleeve and grab the other end.

Just bought Bluecell 39 Assorted Color 200 Yards Per Unit Polyester Sewing Thread Spool Set + Bluecell LCD Cleaner Stylu and so far i am VERY happy with it. I saw other negative reviews so I was a little worried but I figured for the price I would try it and see what happens. They are full size thread but on a thinner roll than normal so they look small but there is a lot of thread on there. It DID NOT HAVE THE STYLUS don't know why it was even listed with one because there is no logic to the pairing. I didn't expect it to have one because I read reviews that said it didn't have one. All of the colors were different except two blues look the same. It is a good color of blue so I'm happy. Now I wonder what color I'm missing HaHa! I have been doing many many mending projects that have been stacking up (I lost my thread in a move) and used 8 or so different colors. The threads have worked well and aren't low quality at all.

I recently was given a sewing machine, knowing that I wanted to test it out before investing lots of money on thread I ordered these. I had researched thread and these had a high rating while being reasonably priced. I was a bit disappointed with the packaging it came in, it looked cheap. However, the thread is good quality! I love all the colors, there are so many color options that you can really sew any kind of project. I have made costumes and blankets, the thread has held in all of them. The only con I have is some of the thread doesn't have the easy ends to unwind. I have a couple of the colors that I cant use because the end is stuck and twisted in the spool that it comes on.

The colors were absolutely vibrant. Polyester which I try to stay away from if possible because I like natural materials. But since this was part of my granddaughters BD present I wanted bright colors and a lot of them.It even has gold and silver metallic thread. In this way it keeps a child from being bored and helps them to use their imagination a bit more which hopefully will keep her interested in sewing for a lifetime. I believe that there is more that our children can learn besides iPads, Mp3 players, video games, etc. I am trying to promote life skills in my grand children. She was excited about these as well as the Sew and Sew machine I bought her and the roll of many colored cotton strips that I bought her all for less than $50.00. The price was great too on this thread. A "can't go wrong" bargain. I'm very pleased.

This item came shipped in a bag all the way from China. The thread was packaged in plastic and encased in a thin paperboard. It got crushed during shipping but no damage was done to the spools. It comes with many colors as advertised; the only downside for me was that there were so many shades of gray! Some of the gray spools looked identical. I would have preferred if there were more variety among the other colors such as greens and purples. Also I'm just noticing that my order should have come with an LCD cleaning stylus. That didn't come with my order. Oh well. Overall, the thread is a good value for the money.

Descent quality thread for cheap. We bought this thread along with a sewing machine that we used to mostly hem our kids pant legs. I haven't had any issues with the thread, it comes off the spool fine the thread has never broken while using it and the number of colors and shade has pretty much matched every project I have needed to match thread color to. The thread itself isn't uniform smooth texture and as the thread feeds from the spool onto a bobbin on my machine it is easy to notice the slight variations in thickness and finish so it isn't something I would suggest using with embroidery, as a matter of fact some I ran some embroidery patterns with this thread on a piece of scrap fabric and it is obvious that a better quality thread should be used for that. I would consider this good enough for basic hemming or repair work.

Nice assorted color selection - you can pretty much find any color you want in the bunch! I am a newbie to sewing - with that said, I will note that the threads are on the weak side but fine for my need (reason for 4 stars). Must also noted that these are not for heavy sewing/users - more like sampler threads, which is also good for me, I am only "mending" clothes not creating.

Good color assortment. Gave as a gift and the person who received them loved them.
