Great idea!
So let me just say that I am torn between the coolness of these fuses and the morbidly boring presentation on any given good day. Let me explain. As a fuse it's working best to keep a circuit protected from that malfunction that would otherwise cause more damage. It's literally the sacrificial "lamb" in that circuit, and until the problem occurs it doesn't look different from any other standard fuse. The principle is rather simple, as it's an LED shorted out by the parallel fuse metal strip. The low resistance of that strip prevents any usable Voltage drop over that short distance and the LED remains dark. Interrupting that fuse removes the short and allows the LED to light up. That is, provided the circuit is still closed somewhere, as it should be in most cases. The sad part about this is that this something that may come in handy sometime later as--hopefully--you don't burn through fuses on a regular basis. Still, when it happens, it's great to quickly locate the burned fuse, even in the dark confines of a fuse box. It also allows to quickly determine if there is a blown fuse, or something else, at least in most cases. If your car "eats fuses," the underlying problem should be fixed soon as the SmartGlow fuses are an expensive mitigation. The fuses are a standard (mini) format for my car (Honda Accord) and the claimed low profile of not having the LED bulge out is of no consequence for me. Both fit. It's the part of contemplating to pull all "old" good fuses for the day the LED will be convenient that is keeping these as spares in the trunk. I did test them and they work as they should.Once installed, one will be hard-pressed to see any difference. And that's not a bad thing. Also, if they lit up in normal use, it would be distracting from the purpose (to easily find blown fuses). I love the idea, even if I hardly ever have a blown fuse (and you hopefully neither) in a car that works well and is maintained. Still, slowly but surely my fuses are replaced with the Smart Glow kind, waiting for that day when it matters. (I don't remember having a blown fuse in any car for 10 years or more.)

Buy them, you won't regret it!
The photo I provided is of a Carax standard size fuse and not the mini low profile, just to give you an idea what the light looks like when the fuse is blown. Whoever invented these has been pretzeled up, crouched down one leg extended the other bent, fulcruming their torso in the door jamb trying to achieve correct body balance and position, right elbow on the floorboard, head under the dash, attempting to single-handedly remove the fuse cover only to find you need both hands. All this in the middle of the night with only the dim glow from the dome light. Then success, the fuse cover is off. Flip the cover over to read the fuse location schematic, after they've brushed some dust off of the wrinkled, unreadable sticker. Now it's time to systematically hunt down the blown fuse, by smashing their fingertips between the fuses hoping to form them into a fuse puller tool. Alas, they got it now to rock it back and forth side to side until it comes free. Next turn it towards the dome light, (without losing your perfect pretzeled position), to get a glimpse of the hopefully broken link. NOPE not that one, now to reinstall that little booger. With their free hand find the slot the fuse returns to and attempt the reinstall. Repeat this process a minimum of 5 times until you find the culprit. I think you get the picture. Buy these Carax, glow when they blow, fuses and replace every fuse you have in every vehicle. This pack also comes with lower amp, (not readily available), fuses which many RVs use. The photo I provided is of a sacrificial 10amp Carax fuse in a 30amp spot. I of course chose an easy access location.I would prefer this set came with, even a cheesy, fuse puller. Maybe they will in the future.

Just make sure you get the amperage right when you plug these in
Modern fuse boxes are just a little tricky. Sometimes it is hard to figure out which fuse needs to be pulled and then you have to mess around with those little plastic tweezers to pull the fuse out. These fuses work on a very simple principle - first they are fuses but when the fuse is blown there is now enough voltage across the shorted fuse to power up an illuminate an LED. When the LED glows, you know that particular fuse is blown. Now I typically don't check my fuses regularly. What typically happens is that something on my car stops working - say maybe one of the headlights. What you then need is a quick way to check whether you need a new headlight or a new fuse. With one of these fuses you can tell right away what it is you need to replace. And, trust me, I have in the past had to play "go fish" when I encountered this type of problem. I shall be replacing all my fuses with these.

Good Set Of "Glow When Blow" Mini-Auto Fuses
This is the size of fuse many autos take these days. The amps are noted on the back, and they are standard color-coded for easy recognition. The difference between these and most other brands is that these glow when they're blown, so the problem is easy to find when you're looking at a confusing array of fuses in your car's box.Great idea! I'm carrying a set everywhere I go now, in the glove box.Recommended.

Great Product!
This was a good purchase, I was able to replace all my fuses in my car to these. The most frustrating thing to do is find the fuse that is blown in a panel, With these glow fuses, it takes the guesswork out and it directs you to the blown fuse, You change it and your done in under 1 min. I highly recommend this product.
