Klein Tools CL110KIT Electrical Tester / Maintenance Kit w/Clamp Meter, Continuity Tester, GFCI Tester, Line Splitter, Case, Leads, 3 x AAA

I love this meter. It is simple to use, measures everything I need it to, well made, and well priced. I'm not an electrician, I'm just handy and a good multi meter is one of the most useful tools in a tool box. This one does its job well. I especially like the splitter that allows you to use the amp clamp on anything that is 110 volt and 15 amps or less. Klein makes good tools and this one doesn't disappoint. My only complaint is the case. It is not large enough to hold the meter, splitter, outlet tester, and leads properly. It is possible to stuff everything in the case but it barely fits and all the pieces rub against each other. I'm giving the package 5 stars because the meter is so good but I would have liked to give 4½ stars. The case is the cheapest part of the combo. Make a better case Klein!

I mostly bought this for the clamp feature, but my multimeter was probably 20+ years old so time to spring for a new one.First, the line splitter confused me. How the hell was I getting 90+A on a 15A device on a 20A circuit and NOT tripping the breaker? Well, the line splitter amplifies the signal 10x (now I know why it says X10 on it). So that explains that. But being able to use the MAX setting meant I could activate the device and not have to stare at the meter. (I'm troubleshooting a device that occasionally trips a breaker).I was disappointed it didn't come with alligator clips for the probes. And Klein doesn't sell them separately. You can buy aftermarket (which I'm waiting to arrive) or a Klein test probe with alligator clips built in. Still, it would be nice to include a set of clips which might cost $5 at most. I'd have even paid $5 more. :DThe case is nice, but small. It fits the meter and probes, but not the additional items in the kit. So it's not really a kit, it's a bunch of items sold as a package.But everything is working well and easy to use. I haven't had reason to measure anything else yet, but when I do, I'm sure it'll work great.(I'm keeping the old Sears one around broken LCD and all. And no, I don't have the right size alligator clips for that one.)

This product works great for what l need. Have past experience with Klein tools, never a problem. Convenient, multiple tools for electrical readings, all fits well in the carrying case. Price was right, works well for my needs.

Nice unit, very handy to test circuits. Manual very limited for novious electrical handy man!

After having my tester for 5 years, the readings were off. A quick search on the internet directed me to Kleins website where I printed a return label and sent the tester back freight prepaid. A few weeks later I received a brand new tester via Fed-ex. Klein supports their product and customers.

Bought this to use in electrical classes and for general use around house. It was perfect for what I needed it for. Renovating house with old wiring can be tricky and this meter is perfect for tracking down any problems.

Quality product, easy to use, and has all the basic testing a homeowner would need.

gfci outlet test is very accurate, clamp meter generally works well, but not detect small current,maybe i don't know how to use it
