Works well
The rock looks a lot like a real rock, and there is enough room in the compartment to easily fit two or three regular size house keys. We have a security deadbolt lock that has a longer key, and that one does not fit in the rock's compartment, so we just don't lock that one if we have to leave the rock out for service people to get in the house.Serves our purposes and looks good enough to not stick out as an obvious fake rock. The compartment stays snug and doesn't open unexpectedly, so we are happy with this purchase.

Looks like a potato but it works!
We bought this for our back yard. It blends nicely with the other stones. But it does look like a potato if it sits on its own. Fits 2 keys but they must be loose - no space for key rings.

Just what I wanted
Cheap and works. Looks real enough and blends in with my rocks which are brownish gray. The white plastic lid underneath is quite large and goes to the very edges, but you can't see it once it is in the ground. If this rock ever gets kicked or flipped over, it will be very easy to tell that it's not real.

Great idea!
This is such a great way to hide an emergency key! I don't leave it in plain sight, but it sure does give me peace of mind to know that I have a way to get into my home in the event I experience a lapse in judgement! It fits a standard house key and it's "real enough looking". Since I don't have stones in my flower bed, I still tuck it away but those who need to know it's location know where to find "the emergency rock!!" LOL

Extremely fragile broke when I opened the package and rock dropped from a height of five inches. If you buy this take great care you handle it with kid gloves :)

Great key hider
This is a great little key hider that blends in perfectly with the rocks around the foundation of my house. The fit of the plastic receptacle for the keys is a little sloppy, but a little super glue has secured it in place. (I'm hoping I never need the hidden keys, so I'm not concerned about the glue).

Key compartment is short. Will fit some keys but not others especially high security keys
As other reviewers have noted, the key compartment is a bit short. I'll need to cut off a part of my house key in order to get it to fit.

Very realistic with river rock!
Adding some photos in my yard so you can see what it looks like; very realistic! It's the little potato-looking one in the corner (see close up). The little plastic door is rather loose, but fine face down.
