Not sure why they would use insecticide on this hat, but it had a very strong chemical smell either gasoline or insecticide. Like sometimes when you get products from China and they use formaldehyde in it. Tried to soak it in water for a day, and it didn't seem to help. Otherwise, liked the hat. I see there hasn't been any reviews lately, so I will add one. I recently attended a class at Frontsight Firearms Training in Pahrump Nevada. I noticed some of the Instructors had a new uniform hat, and I inquired at the office what and where they came from. They are this hat. I think in a Khaki. These guys stand in the Nevada Mojave desert son for 8-12 hours a day. The guys I talked to liked the hat and the wider brim. I bought two for my wife and myself in dark blue. I wanted to not look like the instructors. "BIG MISTAKE" make sure and order a lighter color if your going to be in the sun! We had ours embroidered.

I needed a spare hat for working in the yard and crawling under the truck when I work on it. It was perfect for the task.

The hat came very tightly packaged, leading to unsightly creases along the brim. The adjustable elastic is snug and secure, very easy to operate. The sides roll up really easily to give it the bush hat look. It kind of looks dorky like this, but my girlfriend said I look cute in it, so that hat remains on during intimate times.

Seems like it's made of quality material. Perfect for fishing, or just about any occasion. The coyote is a perfect match for my Condor gear...

I wasn't going to review this purchase, but the requests kept coming... This is supposed to be an adjustable hat; as in it is designed to be too big and then you use the 'adjustable' feature to make it fit. Useful in windy conditions. I normally wear a 7 and 1/4 hat, this one arrived so small I couldn't wear it. I washed it, then stretched it while still wet and managed to make it fit. I won't be ordering another.

While this hat is adjustable, t is still too small for my head. I'm a pretty slim athletic guy and this thing won't fit on my head at all with the adjustment cord completely loose. This might fit a child or a petite woman, but the average guy won't be able to wear this.
