It’s doable if you have some mechanical ability. I wouldn’t recommend doing this yourself if you don’t have a decent number of tools and jack stands. Some of the connections are in difficult to reach places. You will spill diesel fuel so be prepared for that. Disconnect the drive shaft to get some extra working room.

I put this in my 2019 Ram 3500 diesel crew cab short bed single rear wheel truck. This is a vehicle specific fuel tank. Took about 6 hours to install. Titan says this is about a 4 hour install. To be fair I do things a little slower when I’m unfamiliar with a product. I did call Titan with some tech support questions and they were very helpful and very happy to share all kinds of details. After they answered my initial questions they told me how to get the range to empty display to read correctly and what I needed to make that work. They directed me to Alphaobd for this. Which will tell the computer you have a larger tank. This used the original sending unit and requires no additional modifications to the float. Titan did explain to me that the truck fuel gauge will read correctly except for when the tank is full. It will read full longer as some of the additional fuel held is at the top of the tank. They say to expect about 75-100 miles of driving before the gauge comes off of full.This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a little more range while towing. So going from a 32 gallon tank to a 52 gallon fuel tank should help.

Installed on my 2019 2500 Cummins short bed. Took 2 hours using a lift. Good instructions and videos of the process. I overfilled right off the bat on a hot day and called Titan after i saw fuel leaking from the front of the tank. They noted that fuel expansion on a hot day is common and cautioned not to overfill to begin with. No issues since then. Amazing range for towing RV. I had to get the local diesel shop reprogram the MTE digital gauge to support the 52 gal tank. Only issue is that the digital gauge only goes up to 999 miles to empty. :)

It din not allow me to enter that my truck was a mega cab . Had to go to another website to find out why.

I bought this exact tank and had it professionally installed. I love the extra range I get vs. the original 31 gallon tank my 2021 CCSB Ram came with. So far it has worked flawlessly. The only two issues were these:After installation, the tank was rubbing on the Ram's rear fuel filter housing. My installer was able to loosen the filter and move it just enough to get about 1/16" space when the tank expands when full. I know one guy who had to drill out the holes in the frame holding the fuel filter so it could be moved enough. Depends on your exact truck and where the factory installed the fuel filter I guess.The 2nd thing does not seem to impact the tanks use, but may reduce the ground clearance a bit. When the tank is full, the front section of the tank moves down a small amount. I can see on mine, and have seen photos of others. When tank is low on fuel, it looks level under the truck. When the tank is full the front hangs down enough to be visible to the eye. They really need to add a 3rd strap to hold up the front better.
