I bought some nice new floor mats for my Tesla and within 6 months there was a hole worn through below my left heal, otherwise the mats still looked good and I almost replaced them, but then found this little gem which was an easy install right next to the one that came from the floor mat factory so now the whole area where my feet touch the mats has this heavy plastic plate. I'm happy, saved me the money to replace the entire floor mat set.

I drive for work and as you can see in the second picture, my heel actually wore through the floor mat. I tried various things lying around the shop to stop the wear before I reached the carpet liner in the vehicle. Nothing really worked perfectly until I found this. It is relatively hard plastic and while it was slippery at first, it has settled and now I do not even notice it.The only issue I had was that I was dumb and did not notice how big the product was. I ended up having to use a hacksaw and take off a little under half of the product. After punching small holes where the screws would go, it was quite simple to secure this to the floor mat and I have not had any issues since. As described and would buy again though maybe look for a smaller version if possible.

This would be a floor mat for infant toy car. It was so small, I was so disappointed and unsatisfied.

I got it to protect my driver's floor mat from wearing a hole due to the continuous heel pivot movement between accelerator and brake.For what it is, I guess it could have worked, but I found a better solution so did not use it. I would have tried it but did not want to drill my floor mat to find out.I went for a velcro attachment-carpeted soft mat solution that worked out great.

It covers the section where my foot was starting to wear away the mat. Looks like it will work fine. To install, I put a little white paint on the 6 tabs that the screws go into. I pressed that on the floormat which gave me a template. I then took an ice pick (a nail would work) and punched a hole in the middle of the paint spots. That made it easier to get the screws through the mat at the right spots.

Covered up the hole I had but my heel gets caught on the edge.

It has really low profile screws so it fits nicely. I put it on my wheel well arch so I had a place to brace my foot without dirtying up the carpet unnecessarily

Small amount faff, but easily installed. Copied an earlier review and used paint to mark holes on underside of the mat.

Does the job however it’s a bit stiff/hard.

I wish that it was a little bit more rubbery. This would make it bend as well as the mat that it is attached to, and perhaps make it a little easier to clean and a bit more grippy.It does the job though and I haven't had any problems with my shoes slipping anyway.
