SnoCleat 2.67 Metal Roof Snow Guards for Corrugated Roof Panel

I bought several of these to install immediately above my vent pipes on the east facing roof of our house, which is a corrugated roof. I purchased them because the snow had broken all of the vent pipes. I affixed them to the roof stringers which were about 6"-8" above each pipe and run perpendicular to the roof. I only used two screws (not 6) and the spacing was perfect so I could place the screws on the topside (as opposed to the "gutter") of the roof panel. They were very easy to install and the directions were great. We've only had a couple of light snows so I will know more by April; however, based on my observations, they are going to work great. I did consider other options. I thought the butterfly plastic snow guards would be ineffective and while SnoBlox makes a vent saver product, I didn't want to spend $120/vent. So we'll see how they work when the heavier snows come. Having lived in Colorado for over 40 years, we get plenty of sunshine during the winter and we because of that do not get large accumulations of snow on our roof. If we did anticipate large accumulations, I would spend the money and get the vent savers. I am going to try to add a 2" wide strip of galvanized sheet metal that is slightly longer than each snow guard to add a little more protection as each snow guard has grooves that I think will accommodate this strip.
