Fits Perfectly On My Condo Deck
I was actually surprised when I received this market umbrella with how good the quality of it actually is. I mean, hey, I payed less than 40 bucks for it! The cloth portion is a good, tight, water repellent weave and the terracotta color that I chose turned out to be exactly as it's portrayed in the picture. The stitching is even, and there are no sags anywhere once it's opened up. The spines as well as the pole are made of wood, which gives it a nice appearance. It's easy to set up - it only comes in three pieces. It also opens and closes easily, with two different settings at the top for however high you want to open it. It does have only one option with the tilt mechanism, so you've got straight up or about a 40 degree angle to choose from (an added lower tilt level would be nice - say 50 or 60 degrees - but again - less than 40 bucks!). Also, a tie would be nice to keep it tight when you have it closed, so that there is less for the wind to catch, but I improvised with a nylon strap from an old piece of luggage, and that does the job and looks great, too. Remember, if you buy it , to get a base, also. I picked up a pretty good one here on Amazon for $21. The pole on this umbrella will fit any standard sized base. Terracotta colored market umbrellas, made of wood (I figured I might have to cut a bit off of the pole to get it to fit on my deck - and I did saw 5" off very easily with the junky little hacksaw from my tool kit), and with a tilt mechanism, too, is hard to find under $150. All in all, this is a really good buy for the price.

Great price, decent umbrella
First, the umbrella I received did not have a nice little wood finial at the top like the one in the pro photo but I noticed that the amateur photo does not have the wood thing on top, like mine. That said, this is a very attractive umbrella and the price was great at 40-something bucks (including shipping). Just noticed in this week's Shop-Rite circular that they have some nice patio umbrellas for about 40 dollars too and more variety of colors. I like this one since it's nice looking and the quality is about what I expected. Would prefer olefin to polyester since it won't fade as quickly and has better mildew resistance but wasn't willing to pay extra for the fiber difference in this color - would definitely opt for olefin with any dark color like navy, maroon, hunter etc.

You get what you pay for
The umbrella has a wooden pole (like a broom handle) that was slightly cracked at the connection point when I received it. The metal piece that connects the two poles is pretty cheap and I expect it will have a lot of rust by the end of the summer. What holds the umbrella up is a pin. I wish I had kept the Target umbrella I originally bought prior to finding this one through Amazon. However, the shipping cost for the umbrella and stand make returning the items not worthwhile. I think you get what you pay for with this! It is fine for $30, but you'll probably have to replace it next summer.

Nice Product Good Buy
We have a 10x8 deck on a townhouse, perfect size for shade, color is close to beige and a nice, light summer color. Wooden pole and spokes to hold fabric. I was happy to have found this product, especially a 7 foot with a tilt that was well built. It is a very good buy. We have a 30 pound base, use it standalone. You could go higher in base weight.

Worst purchase I ever made
If you are looking for an umbrella, don't buy this one. I nearly broke my wrist trying to push the tilt mechanism back. Plus it's really hard to push just the umbrella up especially if you are short. I'm 5'1 and had a horrible time with this umbrella. My advice is to not try to save money if you want a good patio or balcony umbrella. Spend the extra money. Trust me. Oh and do not buy a stand online. Go to a store that sells umbrella stands that are reliable. They may weigh 50lbs, but your umbrella is not going anywhere, even in high winds.

Quality
I ordered the Terra color for backyard to replace the Pottery barn umbrella that was three years old. This one is nicer, higher quality than the PB version and half he cost. Was at my door in here days. Highly recommend it.

7ft. wooden mrket umbrella with tilt mechanism - Red
The umbrella arrived, being easily assembled, however the umbrella portion will not seat properly into the pole provided. The pin that is to be inserted into the available hole for extension of the umbrella is confusing in that there are 3 holes, and easily confused with being inadequate. I finally found the correct one to use. In all other ways, the umbrella is acceptable.

Love this Umbrella!
This is a wonderful umbrella! I've had it now for a couple months. The quality is higher than I was really expecting for the price. The construction, over all look & durabilty are outstanding! Its the perfect size for my small-ish patio. It has been blown over and survived with no damage. It brings an element of beauty that I completely enjoy!
