USB C to HDMI Adapter 4K@30Hz for MacBook Pro, HDMI Adapter Hub Dock with USB 3.0 Port, Type-C PD Charging Port Compatible for MacBook Air 2018/iPad/Chromebook Pixel/Dell XPS13 - Space Grey

I wanted to add a second external monitor to my MacBook Pro (with 4 Thunderbolt outputs). The first external monitor was already connected to a hub on one side of machine - taking up two outputs. To make sure I could extend the monitors properly I was advised to connect the 2nd external monitor to the ports on the other side of the laptop. For this purpose I purchchased the USB C to HDMI Adapter 4K for MacBook Pro. This was attractive because it has a power in connector, enabling the MacBook Pro to be powered via the same thunderbolt connector, effectively saving one of the four ports. The new hub worked for about an hour, then simply stopped working. I emailed the manufacturers email support, who were helpful although it was ultimately down to Amazon to replace the item. However, Amazon were only prepared to refund the item, claiming the item was no longer in stock or available, which was rubbish. I returned the item, got a refund and then purchased the same item again. This has worked fine so far (for about five days) and I suspect if it was going to fail, it would have failed by now. I think this hub is good value.

This is the first time in a long time that I've been able to plug in my phone to a TV/monitor (since my first Galaxy S).This little box simplifies connection with HDMI and USB 3.0 options, works out of the box (OTG plug-and-play) and as a bonus started up my phone's "Desktop" mode, making it a pseudo ChromebookI just need a Bluetooth mouse & Keyboard now ... no wait, I just plugged in a logitec mouse dongle into the USB port ... and it worked!!!Amazing!

Device gives a nice clear picture from my Samsung tab S7 in DEX mode mode without any issues, work straight out of the box, and even charges the tablet when the charger is plugged into the power port (but only in slow charging). USB ports work great and the tablet is able to access memory sticks without any issues.In all good value for money..UPDATE: The product comes with a little card stating that if you need a HDMI cable intpw will send you 2 free on the condition you post a review of the product on Amazon and send them a screen shot, will when you do they simple ignore you, so 4 stars removed due to false promises of free HDMI cables that do not exist.UPDATE: The free HDMI cables did turn up in the end about 3 weeks later with no communication from the supplier, bad customer support....so back to 3 stars for this product...

Was looking for an adapter so I can take the Switch and use at hotels/cottages etc on big tv rather than it’s own display.Have read that some adapters does not power all outputs enough but this one does the job great! Saves me from carrying the dock that came with Switch when we travel now! Highly recommend

What can I say, bought it on the strength that it would work with a switch, so could play on upstairs TV with my boy.Doesn't work with HDMI cable as advertised. Will return.

This USB-C Adapter worked wonders with my dual monitor set up allowing me to combine two HDMI monitors. One from the Adapter and one from the laptop itself! I didn’t realise there was a spare USB C option for external devices that use USB-C so it came as a surprise. On top of that there is a spare USB A slot making this product worthwhile. The only negative part to this is the size of the wire so it’s quite limited how far the wires extend to. If this was any longer this would be really a better product. Maybe one for the manufacturers.

This adapter works as expected and cheaper replacement for apple's adapter which costs around 60-80 Euros. I've used it with a 1080p 60Hz Monitor along with Anker USB HUB.I've had issues with the wired keyboard and mouse connected to HUB or any type of USB adapter to Macbook Pro. The mouse pointer used to get stuck regularly and after MacBook wakes up the power does not boot up the mouse and keyboard. I had to reconnect the adapter every time. This was annoying.Finally, this adapter solves the issue.

The adapter is exactly what I needed to connect my new Surface 3 to a second screen to work from home via USB C to HDMI. The USB 3.0 port on the adapter is also perfect to plug in a mouse freeing up the other port on the laptop for a keyboard or something else. The adapter's build appears to be aluminium and actually feels premium so definitely value for money. I also tested the adapter with my galaxy s10 and works with Samsung Dex which is a bonus. The only note I would mention is the USB C port is to charge the device it is plugged into so you cannot actually charge a phone for example whilst it is plugged into a laptop (which I personally didn't need as the surface has a separate charger port). All in all a great product and perfect for my needs!
