Value For Money
In 2017, I bought two pedestal fans: a Pelonis 18" and another brand 16" (with a crappy, unstable "cross" base) which was $5 less (what a mistake not to spend the extra duckets to get a second Pelonis). In the fall of 2021, I thru away the the 16" fan, while the Pelonis still runs GREAT! It cools a sitting room measuring approx 15' X 10'. I can aim the fan at the love seat or use the oscillating feature to fan the entire room. There are three speeds (low, medium, and high) and unless it's an EXTREMELY HOT Nu Joyzee day, I run it on medium and I'm as happy as a pig in poo ... The 2017 Pelonis did not come with the electronic bells and whistles (i.e., the remote and timer) and as I bought this one in late fall '21, I haven't been able to test these additional features, but I trust Pelonis. If they fail, I can simply run it manually, as i do the 2017 fan.Other things to consider when buying a/this pedestal fan:THE GOLDEN RULE- If you intend to cool a room of any size greater tha 6' X 6', DO NOT BUY A PEDESTAL FAN LESS THAN 18" or your wasting your money, PERIOD. I have spoken and you have my word on this. Remember that crappy 16" fan, the only thing it was good for was sitting at the foot of my bed and cooling me while I slept with it aimed directly at my body. With regard to this Pelonis fan, the base is a sturdy, weighted (approx 2' diameter) disc which is great, but needs approx 2' of floor space to set it. Keep this in mind.Construction of this fan is fast and easy for anyone with any aptitude whatsoever. BUT, THERE'S ONE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER: when you screw on the cap which holds the fan blades to the motor, THE CAP SCREWS ON COUNTER-CLOCKWISE! which is the opposite of tightening most other threaded items. I made the mistake of screwing the original 2017 cap clockwise and stripped the cap. Fortunately, Pelonis being a customer service oriented company, replaced the cap free of charge (talk about promoting good will!).There you have it and I hope this helps you make an informed decision. Nice and Cool!
This fan is a head better than the rest. It blows full volume, nice and cool air. Sometimes it gets so cool, I have to turn it off. It can been a little noisy but after awhile, you block it out…..well I do, it’s my super power! I like this fan. The remote is convenient when you want to turn it off or change speeds. Also easy to assemble.

UPDATED REVIEW on base issue. From 2 to 5 Stars
I have to give it 2 stars because the base is just awful. It will not stay straight up. I tighten the base lever and the next day its tilting again. I'm going to have to figure out how to rig it sturdy. The fan is a good fan, good controls, and I like the metal cage but this base just makes the whole thing unfortunate.UPDATE: I wanted to come back and update my review. I took a moment to remove the base and take a good look at it. Turns out there are little notches the pole needs to line up with. I also moved the washer to under the base. I did read the directions but I am pretty sure it just said to stick the pole in and didnt mention lining these notches up. Either way I'll take the hit as a user error. Now that the fan's base is holding, its pretty perfect...wish the cord was a little longer, but oh well. I would say its officially worth the purchase. Just heads up on those notches!

I love this fan.
This is an easy to assemble fan, comes with remote w/ batteries included, nice design and will cool you or room down. All fans make noise but this is a very low sound and won’t having trouble sleeping or hearing while watching tv.

Did a solid job this summer.
This moves quite a bit of air and did a great job of keeping me cool this last summer. I do have two complaints however. Firstly it doesn't appear you can turn the beep sound off from when you press a button. Secondly, the one screw and the housing holding the assembly together does not seem like it will last a long time. So far so good 6 months later, but I'm skeptical. And I guess the remote is cheap and clumsy, but I never use it, so not a big deal.

Powerful fan
I'm not sure how quiet is consider this fan, but it is powerful. Even on the lowest setting it moves plenty of air. Great for got summers.

Fan head tilts up & can’t be adjusted
Overall, the fan is well built & solid. I have no fear of it tipping over. It moves the air quite well & I’ve never needed anything but the lowest setting. The oscillating feature works well. My only complaint is that the fan head won’t tilt down so it is level. It points to the top of the wall in my living room, near the ceiling. I can lower the entire fan to make it shorter, but the mechanism on the fan head itself won’t tilt like it’s supposed to.

My lawn mower cuts too much grass, and this fan moves too much air!!! Lol
I can't believe fans have remote now... and to the dude who was disappointed the isolating wasn't a remote feature, get up once and a while, I can't believe my food doesn't microwave its self either...anyway, got this fan, assembled in a moment, (packaging, doesn't throw its self away, I was disappointed) works great!!! Oh its for my dad, he complained about it when I asked how it was, he didn't like it cause it "moves too much air, my stuff moves and things blow away if I aim ot wrong" I paused tilted my head open mouth... "so it works too well.... it's a fan to move air!!" Yes was all he could say, it a great fan....buy it and enjoy too much air???? I dunno... my lawn mower cuts too much grass??? Like wtf.....

Good Bedroom Fan
This is a fan suitable for an average sized bedroom. It will work in any room in today's box condos. It may not provide full coverage in a house's master bedroom or for living rooms in house/older appartment/condos.The noise is bearable on any of the three speeds. It does vibrate a bit on 3rd level but base is sturdy enough so it does not move around. The height is adjustable & the look is elegant as well. The best thing is all parts are detachable without requiring any tools so you can easily clean/wash them. When assembling, ensure that the rear grill settles down correctly. It will only fit when the non movable part on the grill is at the bottom.Lastly, occasionally tighten the screw under the base. This will ensure that the fan keeps stable.

Love it!! Solid, quiet, and moves an TON of air!
Amazing Fan! I love this fan. First of all I was told it wasn't going to come for about a month. I got it in a week!Great Packaging. Very easy to put together. Solid construction very well-made. Going up to 18" in from 16" is a huge difference. Even on the low setting this thing moves a lot of air. The high setting is like a tornado LOL.On the low and medium settings it's pretty quiet for a big fan. Even on the highest setting it's a bit loud but quite a bit quieter than some of the cheaper fans I've owned in the past. And, I mean you're blowing the dust off furniture. The Tilt feature it's sort of three auto click settings. So no knob to loosen and retighten. I really like that. The stand is very heavy so this thing doesn't vibrate or wobble at all. And the remote works really well but you need line of sight. And in my place that works up to about 12' away.So happy with this purchase. Exceeded my expectations.

This fan is a beast
At 18 inch diameter, this fan does an incredible job of propelling wind across two or three rooms at my house. I have this fan in the pantry room at the back of the kitchen, facing the front of the house and on level 1, the wind is strong enough to travel 25 feet across the kitchen. At level 3, the wind is strong enough to travel 50-60 feet to the front of the house. This fan is perfect for circulating the air and keeping you cool.Installation was easy but the fit and finish - particularly with the fan cage - could have been better. It's fine and everything is securely held in place but you can tell that the build quality is slightly off.The remote has only three buttons but it's easy to use and can be used across the room. I've had bad luck with fan remotes before and many were unable to even connect with the fan from 4 feet but this one has no problem connecting at 20 feet or more.Overall, if you're looking for a powerful room fan to circulate the air or keep you cool, consider getting this one.

Excellent fan ....yo-yo pricing!
It looks really nice when assembled properly, the stand supports the fan really nice, I have it on a hardwood floor and it doesn't make any vibrating noises, I keep it on low and it is more than enough to my liking, the speeds, the timer settings and the remote all work great, it's very smooth oscillating, you can only hear the breeze when it's hitting you. If I had another I could put them on a lightweight aircraft and take off on high. Careful of the pricing on this one, sells for 55 in the US and 70-140 any given day in Canada* ....doesn't come with 2 AAA batteries that fit the remote. Highly recommended*
