Carly Phillips can't write a bad book!!!! I love how there is a connection of some kind from one series to the next. Never hurts to briefly hear about Ian and Gabe Dare. Loved the series for it's new characters on their own though. I think Kade and Lexie are my favorites. I really enjoyed how the men all had histories that made them give back when they became wealthy. Carly creates characters so amazing that you 're-read over and over. She's now an author I buy and give my precious bookcase space to.

My 1st encounter with this author was this audiobook, a 4-books-in-1 completed series, and I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Well-paced, likable and relatable characters you grew to care about, POVs from the leading male & female in each book (love when authors provide more than 1 POV!), believable dialogue & emotions, steamy sex & palpable chemistry, HEAs, each is a stand-alone with no cliffhangers, and the last epilogue perfectly ended the series (I’ve discovered that ending a good series well is a talent many authors never learn to do). So glad that I gave this author & series a chance! Will now try other books/series by Carly Phillips.My favorite story in this series: Derek & Cassie’s story.2nd favorite story in this series: Kendall & Julian’s story (which starts in the background of book 1, ends as the main story in book 4.Kudos to the talented narrator who did a fabulous job! She made the author’s words come alive!

It is no surprise that this book covers mental illnesses with care and love. Ms. Phillips continues to write with Lessons. I firmly believe that these discussions should be brought to the for front and what better way to get people talking about the stigma of mental Health.As the child of a Bi-Polar Mother and sister I can so relate to this story. The highs and lows of mental illness are real and forever control the out come of many issues we have every day.As a anxiety sufferer, as well as my Father, I so can relate to Kade and and his need for control and that everything be done the same. Upsetting the apple cart is easy when you feel like all the world problems are on your shoulders, even when you know in the back of your head they are not. Kade being mildly OCD only brings the story home to the real problems for those who suffer a mental illness.I can’t not wait for book 2 in this series. She embodies the true emotions we all have and feel when reading a story that we connect to. The subject matter is just as important as the Characters in a story and Ms. Phillips knows how to write a compelling story that the Characters shine like bright stars in the dark night.True, this book deals with subject matter that some may find it hard to take, I for one can relate to Maxie, as I have been in her shoes. On more than one account. When I read stories with these complex issues, I am always a little curious how the author will portrait the situation and emotions within the characters. Ms. Phillips knows how to communicate the feelings of her characters. I found Maxie to be true to the stages of grief associated with her tragedy.Lucas is the ultimate Hero. He is loving and kind. Supportive and anger for her. He tries to do the right thing and sometimes falls short but you always know it is done with love and compassion. This Geeky Nerd grew up to be a stand up Man in all sense of the word.As long as Ms. Phillips continues to write, she will always be a Pre-Order One Click for me. What bette way then to read all of a series in one book.The beginning of another great series.This is the first book in a new series, but can also be read as a stand alone, by Carly Phillips. Lexie is the care taker of her twin sister so she ends up taking a position as the assistant to a quirky Kaden Barnes, billionaire tech ceo with a past. There is some suspicious activity and wonderful story telling. You just don't want to put this book down. This couple has great chemistry and respect for each other. Will they be able to work through their trust issues. Can't wait for the next book in this series to see what's going on.Going down fastThis is the second book in this series and is absolutely fabulous. Lucas and Maxie are perfect together. This is a friends to lovers story and you are always cheering for them but with so many twists and turns and so many people that it looks like are against Lucas and Maxie can they really end up together. Carly Phillips masterfully ties in many characters from other books but you haven't had to have read them to understand. Carly Phillips keeps you wanting more in this book and I can't wait for the next installment.Going down hardFell hard for third in seriesThis is the third book in the Billionaire Bad Boys series from Carly Phillips. This is Derek West and Cassandra (Cassie) Storms book and they are made for each other. Reading how they fought their pasts and others around them was a great story to read, it is one of the best books because you see all of the partners and there significant others in the book but if you haven't read those books you won't be lost. This also set up for the next book in the series. Carly Phillips again makes you want more and makes it hard to put a book down.Going in deepKendall Parker believes she is finally living her life at a healthy point and she just wants those that are close to her to trust and believe in her and her choices. Julian Dane knows that he made a lot of bad choices in the past but he has cleaned his life up and he wants to move on. Both Julian and Kendall and forget each other can they move on and will their friends and family let them try to work on there relationship.I loved this story and Carly Phillips did a great job with this story and the different aspects of mental health, addiction, and other aspects of this story. This was one of the best stories in this series.
