If you love Cape Cod, and Claire Murray stores, and what she sells, you will so enjoy this book. I love each and every page of this book. My book was a great buy and in great condition. I was happy to find it on Amazon at such a great price.When I lived on Cape Cod, I loved shopping in her wonderful stores. She is a great artist, loves the Cape and Islands like me. This book is the essence of the Cape..It makes a great coffee table book, one you will enjoy looking through, and so won't your guests.I highly recommend this book to all.Amazon has great books!!!

Love this book. Wonderful photos of Claire Murray's work and directions and charts to make needlework editions of these lovely designs.

Huge disappointment. I loved Claire Murray's magazines, and so I thought this book would be more of the same. The description made it sound like there were stories of Nantucket in the book, and photos of places in Nantucket etc. But mostly, it's photos of Claire's rugs draped over places in Nantucket, and patterns and directions to make the rugs. If you are into hand-hooked rugs, then this is the book for you, and you'll probably love it. But I felt deceived, because the description was not clear enough describing what the book was about. The only stories about Nantucket in the book were short folklore poems at the beginning of each chapter. Wish I could have returned it. But I am going to donate it to the local library, so hopefully someone will enjoy it.

When I opened the book, the spine was no longer in tact therefore, the book comes apart. I ordered it for a needlepoint chart that is inside and it is fine but if I had wanted to book for other uses, I would have been more disappointed.

A charming book for lovers of Needlepoint and Nantucket. Filled with delightful pictures and colorful needlepoint patterns evoking the many charms of a quaint New England island and delightful Claire Murray designs. And as a bonus, wonderful prose about the island appears scattered among the pages. This is book ranks among the very best of my vast needlework book collection!
