TYC 700002 Honda Accord Replacement Front Blower Assembly

I'm usually wary of TYC's OEM replacement headlights due their less-than-stellar light distribution patterns, so I was cautious with this purchase, being ready to return should it have not moved enough air in my 2003 EX Odyssey.My fears were unfounded. It is not any noisier than OEM and moved an acceptable volume of air. It does exactly what it is supposed to, and build quality does appear very close to OEM.The big draw, besides it being a drop-in replacement, was the lower price. This is one instance where low price did not automatically mean low quality. I've been using this continuously for 3 months with my A/C, as we had a string of hot days starting in April :-( and so far, so good.EDIT: 6-month progress report: still running strongly and quietly. I'd say that TYC has a winner here with this aftermarket replacement fan motor assembly.EDIT 2: 16-months, still running like a top, and not noisy.EDIT 3: Over 2 years of use, and still running exactly as well as the OEM fan in our other Odyssey (2002 EX).

It is working great so far. Installed on a 2004 Honda Odyssey. It wasn't a super easy install, mainly because of 1 of 3 screws that was difficult to get to. You need a flexible shaft for your power screwdriver in order to get to it. I also used a light and my phones camera in order to view the tight, under the dash space I was working in. Watching YouTube videos will help give you the idea of the process. Blower is pretty quite so far.

You get what you pay for. This was the cheapest blower ASM I could find and there's a good reason. The only good thing I can say about it is that the fitment was perfect. From the moment of installation the unit is noisy. It worked. Overall it did not last 12 months. Forget about trying to contact the manufacturer or seller. Neither one will respond. If you're looking for a temporary noisy solution buy this. If you're looking for something durable, shop elsewhere.

Initially was noiser than original blower. There is a damper on the old blower which I was able to remove and install on the new one which made a big difference, though still not as quiet as the original. After 6 months I started hearing a light clicking sound that changed with the motor speed. I thought it was debris so removed the blower and cleaned out the cavity. After a couple of weeks it returned. Opened again and there was nothing inside debris-wise. Reinstalled and it was good for a couple of days. Now 10 months after original installation, the clicking is very pronounced, but only after the blower runs and gets warm. If I turn it off and let it cool for a few minutes, I can run the blower again quietly for a few minutes then the noise returns. I've removed and reinstalled 4 times and can find nothing in the cavity nor in the blower wheel that would cause the clicking. That and the fact that the noise only happens when run for awhile tells me something inside the blower motor housing is causing the clicking. Not happy and would not recommend to other buyers.

I can't complain. This was a chance buy seeing how it is easy to replace on a honda pilot. The mechanic wanted to charge me $170 for parts and labor. So, I youtubed it and found a lady replacing hers with instructions. It literally took me less than 20 minutes to replace. That was removing things, replacing this and closing things back up. It has functioned well and I haven't had issues after months of using it.

After having this installed for close to a year. I am starting to hear the blower squeaking. The blower is not as strong as it used to be and I no longer get blasted with air from the vents. It's more like a soft breeze. It sounds like a bearing or the blower portion has come loose from the spindle, causing it to squeak. It was such a pain to install this I am not sure if it's worth it to inspect it.

Some of the reviews suggested that this item would quit working, but so far so good. I marked "easy to install" as a 5-star, as it isn't this company's fault that Honda couldn't make this easier. It took WAY longer than it should have to replace this- the problem is the screw placement. I used a flexible end to get to the screws. I really hope I'm not replacing this again anytime soon.Works just like OEM.

I was researching the options for blower motors available in my immediate area. Local car parts store had one available, but at double the cost. The reviews weren’t that good either. What made this product interesting was the price and the reviews. 4/5 stars with 79 reviews was good enough for me. Regarding the noise that some of the other reviews mentioned; I didn’t notice. In fact, I didn’t think it sounded any different than the original unit. The day before it came in was miserable, heat wise. It arrived today and I installed the unit on my lunch break. The unit looked identical to the original. Got a crick in the neck installing it, but it was well worth it. Happy with the purchase!

Solid piece of ‘kit’. The same weight as the original I removed from my 2001 Acura MDX. Fit perfectly. Nice and quiet. As of today I would definitely recommend.

After initial insatllation the blower was fine. The motor got signifiacnlty louder as it wore in. After approx 6000km in 10 months the noise is almost unbearable. I would not recommend this due to how quickly it deteriorated.
