The inner poles break/shred - do not feel like they are meant to bend in way needed to install
This tent is amazing! My son is absolutely in love. It provides him with ample space to sleep and play and is significantly taller and wider than a standard size bed tent. The lamp is a nice touch. (The cord is way too long and can be a strangulation hazard if it's not secured carefully- ideally a battery operated lamp would have been a safer alternative).I had to give it only 3 stars because half of the poles literally shredded while trying to slowly and carefuly install them leaving the center of the tent with no stabilization. My hands feel like they have a million pieces of glass in them due to the way they broke as I believe the poles are made from fiberglass. I made sure I followed the instructions exactly and made every attempt thread them into the tent just as the instructions indicated...the tension put on the middle poles to have them where they are supposed to be feels like is too much and I don't see how it could work without ripping the fabric or the poles breaking like mine did.The longer ones that install on the 4 corners did well but the two that are supposed to go around the door broke (the one after it was already in place due to the tension placed on them at the angle required due to slightly pointed roof) Because there is no way to repair them after they shredded our tent is not as stable as it should be. This also prohibits the door from closing properly and leaves a significant gap between the door itself and the tent. It would have been ideal to have a zipper or some sort of method to fasten the door to the tent instead of it just hanging. Other than that the material of the tent itself feels high quality, soft on the inside and is a great height (it may be too tall for a standard ceiling but it works well in our 10 foot) my 5 year old is able to stand up inside - there is plenty of room for him and his friends to play comortably inside and use it as a clubhouse. I have attached photos of the poles and tent itself.

It’s a thumbs down for me due to assembly
This is quite possibly the worst thing I have ever purchased. I tent camp and have put up some tents in my time. Big tents, small tents. Do you know what I haven’t done? Put up a tent in a house. Because there is not enough room indoors to put up a tent. Guess what this is? A freaking two person tent. I know, my bad for not realizing it just by looking at it. I was just trying to get something nicer than that as seen on TV space awning thing my kids wanted. So let’s say your kid’s room is not 20’x20’ and maybe they don’t keep the floor clear of all toys. You might discover putting a tent together with 10’ poles is not the easiest thing in the world. You might even permanently scar your feet stepping on toys while trying to make it work. Maybe your kid has a head and footboard on their bed? Good luck shoving a twin mattress through one end of the assembled tent. By the way, twin mattresses? Not the lightest things in the world while juggling an assembled tent. The star light thing is pretty cool. The star fabric in the interior and the shiny silver fabric on the outside is very nice. If my kids hadn’t started tearing up and hugging me while they thanked me for the coolest thing ever I might have taken some violent action against the thing. I still might get my chance because it was pretty hot in there and I am not convinced it will be comfortable to sleep in. Also, it bulges out on the sides unevenly. Kudos to the slew of people who apparently did not have these issues. The minute the kids don’t like it anymore I’m taking it down with scissors.Update: I had to add a star because my kids love this thing. They fight to sleep together in it on the weekends even after months. Apparently they don’t understand how horrible it is.

Not worth the price...
This is a nice tent, the inside is beautiful. My boys love it for the most part. The starlight is also very pretty; bright, but subtle enough for sleeping under. As for the quality, I'm afraid that's where this review goes negative. It ripped the first night we had it up. We received a replacement in exchange. Two weeks after setting up the replacement, one of the support rods splintered all the way up. Then last month, the side under the window torn as well, all the way from the door to the support rod. My kids are not roughhousing in it, either. It's a bit saggy after five months of use, and has always tilted forward, no matter what we do. The doors are kind of a pain, and I wish the windows had a "shade" to close them for my son who hates shadows he can see outside of them at night. The power cord for the light is long, way too long in fact, with no attached safety warning label. It's a thin cord, which makes the risk of strangulation even greater. It would've made sense to have a sleeve for the cord similar to the ones for the tent poles. Its price point is absolutely too high for what I've experienced. In hind sight, I would've been far more comfortable paying half the price. We'all be lucky if the two we purchased last another five months.Side note, the customer service people were friendly and accommodating.

After reading a lot of bad reviews on it through Hearthsong I found it through ...
This was the #1 present my daughter wanted for Christmas this year. After reading a lot of bad reviews on it through Hearthsong I found it through Amazon and figured the worst thing that could happen is I return it. It arrived faster them was told! She was ecstatic when she opened in and I was still leery after reading the bad reviews. She couldn't wait to get it set up. It took about 30 minutes from start to finish. The directions weren't as bad as people said. I do have some tent experience so that helped. If you take your time and think it through it is not bad. She has a full size bed so we placed this on top. Not a big deal as I thought it would be something we take down from time to time. It's still up and I don't see it coming down anytime soon. She loves it and so do I! I have bought an egg crate mattress to put in it and it's perfect now. The lights are great and I love getting inside with her. It's plenty big enough for the two of us and the 20 or so stuffed animals that she says have to be in there. I couldn't be happier with it. Hope this helps.
