Green Field Organic Instant Barley Drink - Caffeine Free - 75 Grams

I LOVE the taste.. I LOVE how it easily mixes in hot water... I LOVE how it looks exactly like coffee granules.

Coffee woke me in the morning, kept me going in the afternoon at work ... and it was my *treat* for going to class during the 8 years I attended college/university. Coffee was my *treat* for working out ... For over 20 years, I had a daily addiction to coffee ... for at least a decade, I drank one to two pots a day! I started getting intense headaches from drinking it so much, but worse if I didn't drink it ... I felt dehydrated all the time ... but the taste was so addicting ...I began looking for coffee substitutes ... to me, nothing worked like coffee ... even if I knew it was healthier. Two years ago, I moved to Israel ... no starbucks around ... I didn't like the coffee or the way they drank it. Fortunately, I discovered this BARLEY brand while looking for instant coffee. So glad I did. From the first time, I loved it ... but I knew it would be hard to get off caffeine completely ... so, I added less than a tsp of real or instant coffee, and eventually just drank the barley.I returned to the U.S. last week, and the first thing I purchased after landing was a cup of Starkbucks! Oh, how I'd dreamed of the moment! To my surprise, I didn't like it so much ... I missed my barley. Thankfully, Amazon sells the exact brand of barley that I bought in Israel: Greenfield Organic Instant Barley! I'm waiting for my shipment to arrive, and I can hardly wait! It's so tasty! I'm drinking coffee in the meantime, but it tastes awful compared to my barley!The letters are in Hebrew, and it's labeled kosher ... it means that the ingredients are verified!

This tastes just like instant coffee. Amazing flavor. Only if you are on blood pressure medications, be careful because it does lower your bp the minute you drink it. It also gives you a relaxing feeling.UPDATE: I had to finally stop drinking this. Which is unfortunate because it’s tastes even better than coffee. I don’t know if it has anything to do with my blood pressure medication or what. But it lowers my blood pressure at first and then after four hours or so my blood pressure shoots up and both my systolic and systolic go up. And I don’t usually have issues with my systolic. So I had to stop drinking it. ☹️ but it may not affect other people

I've tried all a the coffee substitutes, this is the only one thatA. Tastes GoodB. Tastes Like Coffee!It has a delicious body and aroma. I use a teaspoon to about a half a cup of hot water for a deep rich flavor. Do not hesitate to try this, it's a close as I've come in all these years to finding suitable substitute. Very pleased...

What a great product...just barley, and for me, it cuts my craving for caffeine. Owing a coffee shop and not being able to have caffeine is, to say the least, difficult - especially when the coffee aroma is all around you. I have tried several products and this one really comes close to a real coffee drink. The other products have a sweetness that I don't care for. As I am looking to ordering more, today shows me that it is unavailable. Yikes! I am hoping it is for a short time, because this is a great product!

This is available at my church for folks who are avoiding coffee. They LOVE it!

A little goes a long way as this is the darkest roast you'll find. I ended up adding a bit of stevia to sweeten my morning cup of hot barley. It also tasted great iced. I'd recommend this product over most of the non-organic brands out there. My only complaint is the price. Seems a bit high for only 75 grams. Also, the only words on the label that are in english is organic barley. You've got to trust what else might be written there.
