Little ones love it as a game to play
My grandsons won’t sit to write and play a game or do complicated puzzles. This when set up by parent can be a great way to do number and letter learning games and teaching turn taking. My daughter had the 3 and 5 year olds attention through putting down the base in order and then taking turns to put the puzzle piece into it by taking turns. Very enjoyable to watch as they all learned without even realizing it.

Cute & engaging
Sweet design to expand letter and alphabet knowledge over time. Love the details to practice counting, letter/number identification and neat to include stroke patterns for learning how to write them too.

Really nice educational toy
I like that the pieces were made well and that it was reasonably priced. What I didn't like is that the box it came in was ripped and taped back shut. Fortunately, all the packages inside were still sealed and no pieces were missing. It looks as though someone opened it, didn't like it and returned it.

Reconsider
As a kindergarten teacher of 20 years I am not purchasing this because of the pictures chosen to represent some of the letter sounds. Developmentally students typically learn short vowel sounds first to decode CVC and VC words. Then we focus on other sounds vowels make (usually long vowels and then other vowel sounds). Also, we want students to learn the hard /g/ sound for g because learning soft sounds for letters g and c is focused on in first grade.Letters in this set that I wish had different pictures:O with owl (it’s a vowel diphthong, could have used otter or octopus)U with unicorn (it’s a long vowel, could have used up or umbrella)G with giraffe (soft g sound and then beginning readers mix up j and g sounds, could have used goat, gum, etc)
