The Oratorio Anthology: The Vocal Library Soprano

Greatest Hits from Oratorios
I have a friend, an outstanding singer, who needed to supplement her repertoire. These selections of Oratorio arias provided what she needed.

A useful compilation for sopranos
This collection has a great selection of oratorio, mass, and cantata solos, including all of the standard repertoire for sopranos. The publication is well-laid out and easy to read, including great piano reductions as well as solo instrument parts. If you are serious about classical singing, this anthology is a necessity for both singers and teachers.

excellent choices
This edition has been around for a while, and is an excellent choice for both singer and pianist. The selections are well chosen and the music clear and easy to read. As expected when new, it's a tough book to keep open while playing - a tough spine I suppose.

Excellent compilation of mostly advanced pieces
Excellent compilation of mostly advanced pieces, edited by Walters. I used this so frequently that I just purchased another copy for my local church accompanist.

A must have
If you are a classical music lover and a true soprano, this is a must have to enjoy and to expand your repertoire. If you are an intermediate singer, this give you a challenge as well. I love it.

Good for intermediate student and beyond
Doesn't have a CD, but don't think they would be difficult to find elsewhere. My daughter tries to locate them on Youtube to hear a sampling. Good introductions and translations included to help with dynamics.

Best price around
A purchase for my daughter for her classical music training. Her tutor was surprised at the price and has promised to recommend the purchase from Amazon to other students and suggest they look for other publications there also.

Excellent purchase
A great collection for the advanced vocal student and voice teachers library. There are notes and translations at the beginning of the book on every selection of music. There are selections from JS Bach to Antoinio Vivaldi.I only wish it was coil bound for the sake of the pianist.
